How do you feel about Kratom?

Has anyone tried it? I've been drinking it consistently for a couple years now. I'd compare it to a tea that makes you feel like you're on opioids without all of the potential nastiness that can come with it.

Kratom is natural, legal, and safe. You cannot overdose from kratom, and there arent any health risks involved as far as I know. It's a leaf grinded up, nothing else added to it. People use it to cope with addiction, body pain, or just to chill.
I like to just relax at the end of the day and drink some.

Its an incredibly relaxing body high, and you can function just fine on it.

I'm not trying to circle jerk people into doing kratom but I do suggest it if you havent tried it before. You can pick it up at smoke/herbal shops

Have any of you tried it or still do it? How did you like it?

Edit: it is physically addictive if you do it a lot, treat it like it's a beer and just do it occasionally

There is only one major problem with Kratom. If you use it regularly and you don't have any for a few days, you can/will most likely go into withdrawal, google them up if you don't believe me. I have had friends take it regularly then stop and they feel like absolute TRASH for a while.

The withdrawals are similar to opioid withdrawals - in my opinion, not a good thing to be addicted to. They could be completely removing Kratom off shelves at any time - lots of places banned it already.

 

I looked it up and apparently it's extremely common to get withdrawals. I wasnt aware, and if I've ever experienced one I wasnt aware that's what it was. I'm gonna slow down on kratom, taking 15g~ a day lately. Ive been doing it for a long time but lately I've been doing more consistently than usual. I dont want to have withdrawals and miss work for a week or some shit so I'm gonna chill

I appreciate that comment, I wasnt aware that it was physically addicting but after looking more into it I'm gonna relax on taking it from now on. I dont have an addictive personality in the slightest but physical withdrawals are shitty lol I dont wanna experience that again. I'll still do it but I'm not gonna consistently do it

Hey no problem, better to be safe than sorry. Don't cold-turkey it either, definitely would be living hell. I'd suggest tapering off slowly and if you do plan to use kratom in the future - try not to make a habit out of it because you'll have to re-taper again if you want to stop.

I suggest you watch these 2 vids if you haven't yet. The guy explains it really well how Kratom works with some pros and cons. You should treat Kratom carefully as any other substance, just because it's not so hard on your body and psych doesn't mean you can't or won't abuse it. Once your body gets used to something, it can be really hard to quit.

As for me, I tried it once with a 8g dose, don't really remember the strain. I totally despise the taste, felt like I was drinking sand, just awful. I didn't really like the feeling of it on it's own but the combination with weed made me feel like in heaven.

I have heard it's an all natural substance that can be used as a relaxant, pain killer, etc.
I have heard it can be addictive, as can anything.

I don't believe anybody should try any substances / medication, whatever you would like to call this, unless they really are trying
it for a legit reason that will benefit their mind or body.

But substances in general are bad, I’d even consider this a drug.
People just gotta use drugs in moderation if they want. I don’t believe in smoking weed or anything I just see this as a tea. But the physical addiction aspect of it made it less appealing lol I don’t want to miss work for a few days because of a fuckin tea it’s not worth it

 

Well, the thing is, from what I know about Kratom it's not really a 'drug' it's a dry herb/flower ground up which happens to be
one of the many things on this planet which grow in nature. You might as well consider it like a drug, and you might as well
believe in smoking weed as well because there is places in the world weed grows on it's own without help. Kratom, from what
I know of it, won't give you any bad side effects unless you're taking a higher dosage to specifically feel the opiod effects, in which
case, you might as well call it an all nature drug.

Kratom can have great benefits for pain, relaxation, etc
It can also have extreme opioid effects if you take alot of it, and if you take it for these effects you shouldn't be taking it.

 

Don't you eat/ drink kratom ?

The proper way which the herb guys will tell you is to drink it in tea, it's what most people do.

 

You can take it in capsules but it’s cheaper to buy the stuff that’s in the caps and just make it into a tea. I’m slowing down on it though, don’t wanna get sick

I still suggest it to people that haven’t tried it. It’s nice and natural
