I thought about this topic whilst seeing someone flying by construction workers working on the road. Even amidst all the hectic things in life can they not add the extra 20 seconds to theirs lives in the car to slow down and drive past the construction workers at a reasonable speed. They are regular human beings who have families that they want to go home to everyday. Personally I do slow down for construction workers working on highways and roads it's not worth the rush.

What type of driver are you?
What qualities in your opinion make an individual a good driver?

Post your thoughts on the matter I'll leave mine below.

Personally I'm a reasonably patient driver. I sometimes find myself speeding or tailgating but that is mostly when I'm rushed or impatient after long day of school or work in the summer. I think if I planned better and left myself more time I'd be a slower more patient driver but overall I think I'm not that bad.

What makes a good driver in my opinion is obviously the basics no road rage and such but general courtesy. Letting people in to an extent is a good sign you're not angry at the wheel but is also just polite like opening a door for someone. Simply a relaxed, alert driver is a good driver.

I'm a fairly patient driver also, but I have been known to skip a light or speed occasionally. I doubt anyone conducts themselves perfectly on the road.

A good driver is someone who is aware of the other drivers on the road, refraining from endangering themselves, their passengers or other drivers & passengers.

I've been in a horrific car accident myself due to no fault of the driver of the car I was in and it changed my life forever. Not worth saving a couple of minutes!

I'm new to driving only just recently got my L's and I'm such a paranoid driver, I usually drive too slow and pay more attention to the way I'm driving than the things around me which I've been told is a no no.

I think everybody at some stage, does things like goes over the limit, or goes through a light, but those who are consistent with it 99% of the time are what I call a good driver, taking other people into consideration on the road is a number 1 for me.

Im 19 and still dont have a DL.... It really sucks.

I drive safe and alert in town, and around busy accident prone locations but I gun it down back roads and down the highway. If there's construction or any sort of repair men I'll take the time to slow down and drive safer to avoid any unneeded accidents.

patient driver when i am in no hurry. When i am crunched for time, i begin to speed and weave between traffic and attempt to beat out lights...pretty sure every begins doing that

I'm normally smooth and I anticipate traffic movement well and I normally stick to speed limits except for when I'm overtaking. The only dangerous part of my driving is probably the fact that I sometimes take racing lines through corners.
