How do you create sigs?

Sigs look cool. How do I make one? Is there a program you can download?

 

Well its not like an easy thing. Where you just click two buttons and battaboom battabing you got yourself a signature...

If you want one like mine I suggest downloading something free like GIMP. Or mybe get the 30 day trial of Photoshop CS3/CS2.

It will take a lot of practice before you get good though...

i rock foes... thats even harder. Its called pixeling. It takes alot of hard work, and even more time... I'm kind of good at that. but not that good. It took a long time of practicing to do it. VERY VERY DIFFICULT! i suggest requesting a normal signature in the Graphics Section.

lol, Making sigs takes HEAPS of practise to get good, ive been doing it for about 3 years, and i still haven't mastered it, The BEST program to use, like the emogod said, is Adobe Photoshop. i use CS2, Though if you go to the Adobe site (www.adobe.com) you can download the 30 day trial of Adobe Photoshop CS3.

There's also GIMP ([SIZE=-1]www.gimp.org) which is completely free, but not many people (Including me) use it because it's nowhere near as good as Photoshop.


There's 1000's of sites that you can get tutorials for Photoshop from, the best are Good-Tutorials (www.good-tutorials.com) and Pixel2Life (www.pixel2life.com). Both of them aren't actual tutorial site, but more like tutorial indexes, they have a link to almost every tutorial on the web.

in case you're interested, i recommend going to www.evenicoulddoit.com, it's a great site with decent tutorials that i read when i was starting out with Photoshop, and i'm now a regular member there.

Other than the userbar maker, i don't think that's what irockfoes was asking about, besides, why go to all those C*appy sites when you could make a completely unique sig/userbar/avatar like mine, or say, Atomic's.



Oh, and the emogod, to make those cartoonish sigs, you don't need to do pixelling, that's just making it hard for yourself, there's 3 ways to do it:

1. Buy Adobe (Formerly Macromedia) Flash (Or get the trial) and use the auto-smoothing feature with the brush, it makes it come out all smooth,clean and nice.

2. Buy a Graphics Tablet, like |Mine|, so you can hand-draw it yourself, which makes it a hell of a lot easier.

3. Get some insanely good mouse-drawing skills.

 

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? How is Gimp nowhere as good as Photoshop? I have both and though PS is really great, I find Gimp better for such occasions.

Gimp may not be as good but to say it's nowhere as good as PS, is pure uncommon sense. The only main thing PS has over Gimp is the amount of resources available on the web for it.

 

Alright, first of all, it's not as simple as "A-BING-BATTA-BOOM" and it's done.

You'd be best off to download the adobe trial and cracking it, i'm not going to say where to get it from, but you are welcome to add me on msn and i'll send you it (pm me to get it if you'd like it).

from there you'd be best to join a few websites that specifically are about graphics, some of these sites include:

these two sites are great they each have a forum dedicated to tutorials for created sigs.
