How do you choose who to sit next to on public transport?

well i was just wondering how everyone chooses who to sit next to on public transport, me personally i couldnt care less as long as the seat is free as the buses around here are always crazily packed

 

everyone where i stay is black lol i dont have much of an option . but it doesnt matter really aslong as they stay to themselves

I try to avoid people that are high/drunk when I ride the subway. Other than that it's pretty much wherever. Sometimes I just stand.

I usually just take whatever seat is free (I hate standing on busses and I usually have a book or want my play on my phone), but if I have a choice I will usually take a seat next to an attractive female, or somebody who looks 'clean' and isn't overweight and taking up more space than they should be.

 

If I'm given options and I'm by myself( no friends with me) then I'll choose the obvious sit by myself with at least 1 seat open next to me, but if that's not the case, I'll sit next to the person who seems like they'd smell the least, or next to someone I feel like I'd be comfortable talking to.

 

Usually, I try to find that 'hot' chick among the crowd.

i havn't been on a public transit since my last vacation, but i try to find a window seat if possible, and one that doesn't have anyone next to it, but 10 times out of time i got a friend/family with me, so we just sit next to each other

 

I sit beside the businessman, partly to make them uncomfortable partly because they won't try talk to me

 

It depends on my mood.

In Australia, at least, Tasmania, since public transportation is rarely full, there's always empty seats. So, typically you'll either sit by yourself or with someone you know. It's just awkward if you go and sit next to a stranger when there's 20 empty seats around you.

Sexy females. I always look at the hot girls and pretend I just noticed them whenever they look back.

 

I don't really aim for hot bitches, I look for good looking chicks that seem pretty laid back.

 

It sucks big time when the only available seat left on the bus happens to be beside a very large, stinky person who breathes loudly.

 

Weight. If someone is going to be halfway on my seat its not going to be a comfortable ride for me.

 

I don't use public transportation anymore, but I used to take 4+ hour long Greyhound trips frequently. I tried to pick the person that I think I'll be able to have a decent conversation with if they chose to talk to me. It can be awkward having someone start up a conversation with me only to have it end shortly and then we're completely silent for the rest of the ride.
