How do you believe Life on Earth started?

put it into context buddy, not that hard. I acknowledged that there is no solid evedence that god exists therefore acknowleging that its possible for something other then him creating the world. On the other hand there is no proof that god doesn't exist either, so its the same arguement about him creating it.

So answering the thread question, I believe that god created the world.

To believe in evolution, I suppose you'd have to go further back than monkies, all the way back to bacteria, I know there are ways pointed out that makes that a good possible theory (from bacteria, I mean) I'm really unsure about all the way back to bacteria though. I'm not being arrogant and rejecting that idea. But, that would have to be my answer. Bacteria cells probably evolved into eukaryotic cells, then evolved into many other things.

I dont believe in evolution, there are several reasons but the main one that sticks out to me is, if we evolved from monkeys why are there still monkeys?

    Also known as reproductive isolation.

Why don't you believe in evolution?

LOL! We didn't evolve from monkeys. Monkeys and humans have a common ancestor.

While I do find abiogensis to be the best existing theory, I find the evidence to be much too weak to advocate for.

Prior life existing, the earth hadn't really been terraformed to support it. While nucleic acids can be synthesized, it would take a ridiculous combination of events for such a synthesis to turn into a self-replicating molecule that could support itself. Even if the molecule had those conditions, it would need to be self contained and somehow not ripped apart by a variety of conditions (UV radiation for example). Yes, there were billions of years (thus greatly increasing probability), but until a very simple life form is created from scratch in a ideal laboratory conditions, I'll be hardpressed to accept the theory as fact, or even use that evidence to contradict the idea of divine Creation.

Which was a monkey...Granted that evolution is a tree not a ladder.
