How do u fully secure an account?

Once you buy an account off someone, how do you make sure they won't be able to recover it?

I added a CC, Recoveries, email, etc..

Hmm any advice.

 

Don't share information linked to the account, this means IP, email, country of residence.. Make sure your email is secure, also dont use the same email for stuff like facebook,bebo,myspace ect.. they are farms for information.

Dont download .exe files from torrent sites, this includes patchs an updates and anything that ends in .exe , music an movie files are fine an cannot be binded an encrypted with a RAT.

Only go on ventrillo an teamspeak an websites which are trusted, the admins on all of the above can see your IP. And you will be PKing one day in max bank an suddenly your perfect internets will drop out an you will wake up in lumby with an empty bank.

Make sure you have a bank pin... deposit all your expensive items and cash pile before you log out. Its understandable to log out in your slayer gear or something, but if your logged out at GE with your phat set in your invo an you get hacked... well i say tough luck.

Make sure you make a RaS about him if he does recover, and he will be banned if sufficient proof is shown

 

I couldn't be fucked to get someone banned on here, the reason is it wouldn't change the fact he took from me, and to gather all the information would take to long. Haha

And basically what the post above said. The original owner will ALWAYS have the upper hand, if they know the information.

 

I totally agree with this guy. I just suggest you pay a little extra and buy from very trusted account sellers.

 

There is no way to fully secure an account you didnt create, because original ip trumps all.

So what you do, is when you play it, have your items on, when you log off, trade the items to your storage account for safe keeping.

 

When you make a account purchase, no matter what, the original owner can always get it back. The trick is to either get a trusted seller who creates the accounts, or buy from a trusted source.

If something seems too good to be true, well, it probably is.

 

if it's your account simply add all recovery info, conncet with facebook, yada, yada.. if it's a bought account the answer is you can;t

 

All of the recovery info is the first step...if that doesn't work then the rest doesn't matter.

 

You can't make it fully secure if you aren't the original owner, but you could change the password 3 times and just remember them in the order you changed them in for extra evidence.

 

There is no possible way you can make an account you purchased "unrecoverable" but you basically did all you could. I've heard of a thread on the runescape forums that you can erase on information on the account. You might want to research this as it could be very helpful for you

 

These steps will help you to secure your account, but if you are not a real owner, it can not fully help you :

- Add recovery questions, make sure no one could guess them, and change them every few years.

- Add a very good password like 41opoltoro41, and change it every few months.

- Add your email and secure it : add recovery answers/questions, an additional email (secure it too), a telephone number, street address and so on. Do not use a hotmail/live emails, they can be hacked.

- Do not link your account with your Facebook account, it can be easily hacked by professional hackers.

- Do not let anyone play with your account besides you and do not use bots.

- Set up a hard to guess bank pin.
Change bank pin recovery delay from 3 days to 7 days.

- If your account gets hijacked again and again, contact Jagex via [email protected] and ask them to remove hijacker's information.

- Do not click on Jagex links, just go to RuneScape.com by yourself and check what you need to.

- Nowhere use the same password as your Email/RuneScape account, try to use different password in every website,

- Set up a good Antivirus program if you do not have one.


Following these steps will secure your account to maximum

 

if be secure you mean just if anyone gets a hold of your password do this

1. set recovery questions
2. set an email
3.link your facebook with your runescape account
4. write down all passwords you ever use for your account
5.write down membership info
6. make sure you know when you made the account/ internet provider you use/or when if you ev er move

 

If your actually going to buy a account on sythe pay a little more and buy it from a trusted member.. however this is all up to you, either go cheap and get scammed or pay a little more and keep the account.

 

Facebook will not help you. It is just an additional way to log in, and it is suggested not to do this, because your account may get stolen if your Facebook account would get stolen.

 

If you arent the original owner, it can always be recovered
