How do PA avoid chargebacks?

I was wondering, how do Player Auctions avoid getting charge backs from PayPal? Thankyou.

 

I think they are verified as a legit business and therefore PayPal trusts them or something? Just a wild guess here.

 

Yea, my guess is also they are a legit business to PayPal so they will go with them.

 

They just accept such a large amount of payments that a dispute here and there hardly affects them. For large amounts they require ID scans and they call you on the phone

 

True, they make so much out of the fee's they charge.

 

That could be a point.

Even if they were getting alot of payments, wouldn't they still want to have no/minimum charge backs? Also, what's an "ID scan"? Aswell, would they record the phone call as proof?

Sorry to let you down, but a method to get around chargebacks on PayPal is priceless.. It would defeat the point of even using player auctions.

Being able to take PayPal securely easily puts people in gold trading or not. You will not find a method by asking around to people on Sythe, especially for free.

I think I get what you mean, but I'm not looking to "bypass it" as such, just wondered why they don't get chargebacks (or minimal ones). Some people have suggested that because they are a well known and trusted firm, PayPal will believe them over disputes. 1 more thing, I heard that they phone you, and I'm also guessing they record it so that they can show PayPal the evidence that the person said they wouldn't scam.

 

In order to have a successful chargeback on PayPal, the party that is doing the charging-back must claim that the money transaction was un-authorized etc., etc.. With PA, basically a binding contract is signed between the seller and buyer which says that the buyer will and cannot chargeback in any case unless there is a dispute (which shall be resolved by the two parties on PA) then referred to PayPal. They have a lengthy verification process. If you want to buy a substantial amount of gold they will require your ID, and they will make sure it is your ID. Any fake paypal information basically disallows you from ever using them.

That's classed as proof, which is something they ask for. You can also record the trade.

PlayerAuctions is a company based in Korea. They have been involved in virtual currency trading since the early 2000's. Their system for verifying payments, independently named PlayerGuardian, is a system which has been improved upon over the last decade+. It involves a variety of measures to minimize fraud.

Their method is not 100%. There are still some fraudulent orders that slip through the cracks. However, they don't need it to be 100%. By charging a 10% fee on each transaction, PA can easily afford a 1-2% chargeback rate. Their business model is one of high-volume, cost minimization. You can tell where they cut costs in their business; the customer support on PlayerAuctions is absolutely horrid. You're usually talking to a Korean who has absolutely no way to communicate effectively with you on Live Chat.

Bottom line is, when $100K goes through your system everyday, even a 5% profit margin looks pretty sweet.

They basically have someone from paypal doing an inside job. Specially those chargeback specialists, must be getting a class A ASS licking gangbang from PA.
