How do I get a macro ban lifted?

It's been almost a year since I got my main permed for my first macro offense. Tried appealing and got a generic "nope" email more-or-less calling me a gold farmer in response (even though I was just using a mouse recorder to AFK fletching, lol).

I've heard of people getting macro bans lifted after a certain period of time, but I haven't had any luck. Tried appealing again recently, no response.

Is some JMod taking bribes again to manually review bans? What am I doing wrong?

 

You have to submit an appeal mate, only way to get unbanned. I do not know if you are doing it right, but there is a certain way to appeal it. Appeal a ban go from here. I cannot do it at the moment since I got my accounts unbanned from this.

 

I did. That's why I'm asking how other people have gotten theirs lifted.

 

I’ve successfully gotten a macro ban overturned simply by appealing under the “I apologize” option.

However, there’s a big difference between a macro ban and a gold farming ban. Could you post a pic of your ban screen?

 

Try appeal again in about 3 years. I've had 2 major macro bans removed from 2013. Both bans were 7 years old and i said i was sorry and they gave me one last chance. I believe this is happening with a lot of people banned more than 4+ years. As you were banned just over 12 months ago as you stated, I'm afraid there's not much chance of getting it unbanned any time soon.

 

As previously stated. Apologize 4 years after the ban when you thought long and hard about which stats will be reset with a bucket in your bank.

 

Yeah, used the apology option. It was macro major, but it was pretty obvious, so I didn't try to claim my "little brother" got on my account. The email response just went on a hypocritical rant about how it provides an unfair advantage over other players (how bout dem bonds tho), ruins the in-game economy, and I'm definitely getting keylogged.

Wasn't surprised, just wasn't expecting a permaban for skilling, given they usually hand out 2-days for first offenses ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

I was ranked about 24th on runescape when i got permed. People will call me retarded for botting such a high leveled account but at the time I was only that rank as the divination skill just got released so the top 100 was changing hands by the minute. I botted about 300k of divination EXP to try catch up to #1 and got permed for a major macro. I had never botted previously or had any bans. I got a major macro for 300k xp basically. I was very wealthy and had a blue phat which i paid 3.5b for back in 2013.

I appealed like hell when it first happened, looked for every email, tried twitter, tried pming j mods directly and it got to the point where i just accepted it's gone for good. Well anyway after appealing every year I did appeal around march of this year and got accepted but I was only interested in the account now for the wealth but i was 99% positive they would of removed my bank but they didn't touch 1 single item. I still had the blue and 1050m ish in my invent and couple of other items such as div/ely which were worth like 400m/900m in 2013.

 

There is a few people here who’ve posted about getting accounts unbanned as long as they don’t involve RWT.

So you can appeal multiple times even though jagex says you can only appeal once?
I have recently appealed a old main that got banned for AHKing lava runes, it was 1950 total with multiple 99s.
It has been banned for about a year now and i tried appealing it saying sorry but they pretty much just said no make a new account

 

When you are given the option to tick have you appealed before i always click no and do it anyway. The majority of the time i did not get any reply and sometimes i did saying it will be staying banned etc.. I used this method over 10 times and did the same every time and got accepted this time. I think the option is just used to filter out spam appeals as i have done this multiple times.

 

how rarely would you appeal the ban?

 

It was banned for 7 years so around once a year i would take a chance at an appeal same method each time.
