How do I continue my uni life?

So, I just finished my first year of college and got a 2.3 GPA. It isn't good, and it isn't completely terrible, but at the same time the scholarship I had for attending that school required a 2.5 GPA so I've now lost that. The cost of attending this university now skyrockets to about 44K a year compared to about 20K before. I can transfer to an instate school in Wisconsin possibly, but there doesn't seem to be really any decent CS schools besides UW-Madison, which would most likely require a 3.0 GPA bare minimum + extra curricular activities (I have none) just to transfer. Do I switch majors and go to a half decent college for something else in Wisconsin for a job I'll be miserable in, or do I just take out an ass load of loans because I have no clue what to do now.

 

And there is no way you can get the scholarship back (like re-doing the year maybe) or to start a new bachelor and get a new scholarship that way or anything?

 

As far as I've researched, I can't get it back at all.

 

See if your state offers Clep exams and if they intertwine with your university.

You have the ability to simply study and learn the material on your own and then pay $80 for a Clep exam which most schools accept as credit for many 01/02 courses.
