How did you start playing RS?

How did you start playing Runescape? How old where you? How did you find out about the game?

Well for me I was like 12, and played lots of other online games. I'd play them for a week then stop. One day I some how came up on RS don't remember how, I made an account but never ended up logging in. About a month later 2 kids in my English class were talking about it, and that day I went on and finished half of tutorial island, took about 30 minutes. I logged off and didn't go on for another 2 months til I saw my friend playing it and he finished tutorial island for me. Then from there I went.

So how did you start playing?

I first started when my little cousin showed me it. I was instantly hooked, no clue why I liked it... I think it was because I never saw a browser-based game where you had the freedom you did (walk where ever you want, collect items, etc).

I quit Jan 08 though.

 

umm I seen my teacher playing it in world geography class..so I had a go..

 

When I was about 11. A friend recommended it, so I tried it and found it fun. Have quit now though.

 

Yeah I liked that aspect of the game also, I just enjoyed walking around and discovering new things.

 

All my friends were doing it, I said "Why not."

That's my tale. Yes, it's boring, but it's all I have.

 

My brother showed me when I was in 5th grade, however old that makes me.

 

Little brother's friend showed me in while I was in 6th grade.

 

I was 12, and im ashamed to say, im A MiniClip Prod :love:

 

When i was 8. Now I'm 14. I saw it on miniclip so I decided to try it out

 

I saw my friend at school killing cows in late 01, I think I was in 6th grade. I thought, hell ya! I wanna kill cows! And so it began.

 

Miniclip JUST got it as its "new" game like in 2003.

 

Back in '05 my neighbor/best friend at the time started playing, then I made an account and he helped me. I remember my friend was lv. 22 and I thought holy shit he's good.

 

I started in like 7th grade, in 12th now.

 

Yeah, I joined from miniclip too. That site was the shit, I wonder what they're up to these days.

 

Well, my cousins loved online games so they always had them. To me and my brother, any online games picked out by my cousins were cool. When we discovered RuneScape from them when I was eight years old, I completed tutorial island and got to around level 17. Well, I was eight, so obviously I didn't know what the hell I was doing, so I was walking around Varrock sq going "I'm cool" as I went, until someone said "ur not cool" when I insulted him. I don't know what I said, not sure if I called him an idiot or moron or something, but it was bleeped with asterisks and he said "reported" where I flipped out, begging him not to report me. From then, I made a girl account with kiss me boys in the username, don't ask, I don't know what went through my head. I got attached to RS from there, and even became a member (My Dad was really confused when he saw my username had kiss me boys in it) but forgot about RS for a while. Then, I finally made the account I still used today, named after a friend on my second account. And now...I regret alot, lmao. That ends my story. *Close book*

 

I was like 10, all my friends played. So I started playing. Been playing on and off since then.

 

Overheard kids talking about it in middle school many years ago. Times have changed, lol.

 

I was 7, I was at the library with my grandmother, and I saw these 2 guys playing some game. Being the kid that I was, I was afraid to ask them what it was, so, I looked over at the URL, and then went home. The next day, I saw my uncle, who was currently 19, and asked him if he knew what RuneScape was, he said it was an online game. I've been playing since '02, ever since. <3
