How can I shape my bandwidth?

Hey everyone, I live in a dorm, and theres not much internet to go around here.

I need a way to hack into our router and give my IP preferance bandwidth wise over other IP's. Therefore allowing me to do what I want, such as bot/homework.

Or, is their a way perhaps to use the connectivity of others computrs to support the programs running on mine? So have 6-7 computers helping my computer run a bot client?

The first thing you suggest isn't legal, or at least your campus could take legal action against you, and as far as I know isn't possible (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

The second could pretty much only be done by a botnet, which is also illegal.

Also, campus bandwidth is pretty much limited regardless, even if there was a way to give yourself preference. Even to faculty, due to the high amount of stress on the routers. I encountered this problem when I went to Frostburg.

I disagree, learn to uncap cable modems like I did. See my sig? I can get that speed anywhere I go that has a coaxial line, regardless of whether or not they pay for internet.

Fieryk0 I'm not saying I know how to do this but I'm pretty sure it can be done whether its illegal or not Idk but try and ask on forums that deal with more this kind of stuff gaming sites like se7ensins might be able to help you or atleast point you in the right direction
