how can i change my ip?

Well, I've decided it would be fun to bot this summer, and keep legit playing to a minimum. Perhaps end it with a bitchin' pure. However, I have some accounts that I'd rather not associate with any type of botting. I'm perfectly fine with leaving them alone until my bot-mania is up.

So, my question, how the motherfucking ass tits do I change my IP address? I wouldn't post, but I'm really running out of patience. I've google'd it over and over again, but I can't find something that I can work out or is feasible.

Things I've looked in to:

- Hotspot Shield (Malware? Trojans? What?)
- the ipconfig /release shit
- DL THIS PROGRAM IT CHANGE YOUR IP (I don't think so )
- Change the MAC address, whatever the fuck that is (some say it doesn't change your IP, do any of you know?)

It would be nice if I could call Comcast and say "Hey, could you change my IP address, please?", but I can't find any information about it online.

so, that ^, find a proxy with some speed, then apply it to firefox?

 

Id assume that'd work, unless your botting through a client like KBot Or Rsbot.

 

I think it resets your IP if you unplug your modem for a few minutes. Changing your IP will probably just draw more attention to your accounts though.

 

Unless theres rapid change in multiple IP's im pretty sure its almost harmless.

 

Well my point was that I don't really see a need for him to change it in the first place.

 

They'll leave my other accounts alone? If I get banned, nothing will happen to them if they're clean? I know I'll be tracked, but they'll be safe?

It didn't work. I used one of the proxy servers and the "YOU LAST LOGGED IN WITH X IP" was my real one.

Why? I wouldn't log into any of my legit accounts. The new IP would only be for botting.

 

Just bot on your normal I.P.

Okay, okay, but tell me what happens if I get banned. What happens to my legit accounts? They won't be touched, at all? I've spent too much time on them to be fucked over for a little botting project.

 

My main has always been safe and I have gotten countless throwaway accounts banned over the years. As someone said, you could always just invest $10 or so in a 2-month VPS lease to both save you power and put your mind at ease.

 

Botting thru a VPN would also not work, would keep freezing. You need 2 Ip's you can request a second one from your internet provider.

 

Yep Kevin getting an acct banned on your I.P. really means nothing. They do watch you a little closer but it has NO effect on any other account.


Whether accts get banned is on an individual acct by acct basis, no matter the I.P.

The only time they I.P. ban multiple accts at once is those thought to be in a RWT company.

Then you have a 24/7 computer with a new IP that you can use


Don't know how to change your IP though.. Tried Youtube?
