People should be able to choose who they want to spend there life with.

then how come other more adapt creatures are doing, like dolphins and other mamimals.

0.0 I left for two months and people still cant seem to come to a conclusion on this issue. Well to those who raised intolerant to people with a different sexualy orientation all I have to say is get blown because tis really ignorant to denounce anyone as lower than you and against the constitution if you live in the United States because as you know everyman is created equally and blessed with certain unalienable rights such as life liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Plus my girlfriends brother is gay but it doesnt bother me so get over yourselves.

Well at least it doesnt bother you a I live in this little hick town and the people here are so intolerent its not funny. My mom found about my aunts on my dads side being gay and that they werent sister they were married and she blew a fuse and we got in a fight about it. so Its really good to hear that it doesnt really bother some people.

 

I don't think it's someones choice to be gay.
It maybe strange but hey whatever floats your boat.
So yes they deserve equal rights as us heteros I just don't think they should be able to call it marriage since that's a traditional thing but nonetheless they should be abe to form some sort of civil union together.

You need to "get blown" because it's really ignorant to call people ignorant just because of an opposing opinion and to assume they know that every man is born with unalienable rights. Nobody can disagree with that?
And since your girlfriend's brother's homosexuality doesn't bother you, homosexuality can't possibly bother anyone in any way? GTFO. I have a few actual family members I'm frequently in contact with that are gay, forget girlfriend's brother... of course that shit wouldn't bother you. Actually, I disagree. Presenting something as being wrong or ignorant without backing up your own statements is ridiculous. I see you consider yourself one of the intelligentsia of SFA, what with your shock at you leaving for two months (With all the compelling arguments you left behind!) and the issue still not being solved.

 

Personally I'm against certain rights. However I'm also for some rights, such as the unalienable rights of life, property and liberty. Yet, I don't believe they should be allowed to participate in some situations. Ask any straight male if he'd feel comfortable changing in the locker room with some gay getting turned on at him taking his clothes off, 99% will say they're not comfortable. The locker room is the same as separate locker rooms for men and women, the same should be so for gays and straights.

However, I do believe they should have the rights that all humans deserve as stated before.

I've done no research on the matter whether or not it is a defect conceived at birth of at a stage in life. So, I have no authority to decide on such a matter.

Being gay is not like being black. Being black doesn't affect the scenario presented by rooney at all. A black man wouldn't get aroused by a white man simply because the man was black. And before you say "Gays don't get aroused by every man they see", or some variation thereof, neither do straight people, and we have separate locker rooms for men and women. This is why I say you are the problem with homosexuality, it's because you can never see any side but your own. Men and women having separate locker rooms? Good, prevents sexuality in it. No, of course not. Still, I think gender-separated locker rooms are a good idea, and I don't take it as offensive. I just see that accepting that a problem exists does not mean implying everyone is complicit.
