Homework help response

In response to determinate thread posted earlier I believe that small changes could be made to this section for the better of all others. People requesting help shouldn't be allowed to pay for services. BUT people should be allowed to start homework help services which are paid. There are currently some people who already do this but clearing up the rule would help.

If one is an avid writer and skilled he/she should be allowed to offer his services in return for a small compensation.

If a person needs something cleared up before a test and truly needs HELP then it should be free.


There is a difference between helping someone and doing all of their work.​

 

Couldn't you have proposed / expanded on the topic that is already there? You can reply via posts, no need to make a entirely new thread about the same topic.

 

I don't think this would be beneficial , I mean it's already against the sticky. So basically you want to change the sticky?

 

Only problem i could see with this is the scams.
If this were to happen, the person would need to be trusted and able to show some previous work. (To prove he/she can do it.)

 

Yes that's exactly what I wanted to do.

I also felt that it was different enough to merit its own thread.

 

This is basically a freebie for scamming then. You've made two suggestions within 30 minutes - and they're all brief. Have you thought of the Pros/Cons of EACH of these?

 

I do not support.
Reason being that people shouldn't request cash in order to help people.
Homework is for people to learn from, if people do it all for them they're not learning a thing.
Some of the things people need help with can be done in about 5 minutes, it's better to tell people how to do it, rather than do it for them.
Also, as people have said, it's against what the sticky says.

 

I did although the PRO and CON list for this idea is relatively short. (I had typed out the previous thread in notepad, but not posted it btw.)

PROS
People earn money for time wasted
Kids have an easier alternative to HW <-- also a CON
If a person is lacking time for an assignment he/she can get it done

CONS
People don't do their own work. (doesn't stop irl cheating etc...)
Would be hard to manage

Not to mention it should be a giveaway that it should stay in the other thread because you are basically saying "Re:Homework help". It is about the same topic, just make the suggestions there.

Also I do not support, you can view why in the topic in place.
