Hiring Threads - Community Decision

I think the simplest solution is the subforum. Put everything there, let it become a (labor) market just like every other market on Sythe.

 

Voted for 4, second option would be 1.

 

Why is "market discussion" in each? Was just recently told that hiring threads in individual sections is no longer allowed. Not sure why this would be the case, as the Market Discussion section is extremely inactive, and fairly irrelevant to 95% of hiring threads.

No, those options are shit.

Nowhere does the correct option exist. Allow a single hiring thread in the relevant section. If businesses have a hiring thread open, they cannot have a business thread open. They should change the hiring thread or request lock and open a business thread.

It is absolutely retarded to add a new section for any of this. We're centered around individual gaming markets. A very low percentage of our users are active in multiple sections and would even realize that section exists.

I suggest a new poll.

 

Your reasoning is flawed. That would just flood the respective section with hiring threads and actual business threads. Just put in your title [Hiring] Blade's Shit Tier LoL Service [Not Trused] [Soon To Be Ex-Mod] and put a hiring thread in the sticky/sub-section/whatever is agreed upon.

There wouldn't be a single additional thread that there isn't now.

If you'd take care to actually read, businesses would not be able to have a business thread as long as their hiring thread is open. This is to eliminate the problem that you've stated.

However, you're asking a business to shut down thread activity just to post a hiring thread? I get they can just post on their business thread that they're hiring, but that doesn't change anything in the process that we have in place now. The hiring process can take a week+ if looking for the right people for the job. CBA to do that if you're a big business.

Makes much more sense to have it in Market or subsection.

Regardless the sub section is winning. In not a fan of this option and would just rather threads + sticky for resume. Why add another (possibly) inactive section rather than help make the market discussion more active?

 

It would be harder for people to recruit if their recruitment was on their business thread, that's almost like just saying "no hiring threads, sort it between yourselves". The poll can't have a limitless number of options; these are the most voiced opinions from the suggestion thread.

 

Posts were deleted because they don't belong there. I didn't see any report, if I did I've have had another look at the rules. I wasn't aware hiring threads were no longer made in their respective sections, If I'd have known that, I wouldn't have made the thread.

The reason I'm posting defending myself is because that rule is shit, and will lose market members activity on their hiring threads. Not just my thread, but all market forum users. Which, as a mod, is why I'm here. I am speaking for the needs of the sellers and buyers who fund the site through referrals, bringing in users from google and keeping profit via typically high donations and advertisements.

Instead of some random, irrelevant section? Are you serious? [Hiring] on a thread title in the RS markets would still see more views in a week than that entire section you mention in the OP.

 

So instead of the section being inactive, give it purpose and educate people of it's presence

 

That's not going to work. We've tried things like this before, directing to another section and combining will lose activity overall.

This isn't a situation where having them all combined could benefit. You're not going to find a world-class CS:GO player who spends forever to find a hiring thread and thinks "wow look at all of theses runescape and LoL hiring threads, i should quit csgo and get into these games."

 

That's not what I'm proposing would happen. Either way; most people fall under the options and we can't possibly accommodate every opinion

When people are ignorant of posting the correct pictures for there selling thread and I tell them the correct rules and Link them to it it wouldn't belong there either?

It's not hard to figure out. You didn't know the rule so we directed you to the right place and told you where it should have been posted.

Instead of looking at the rule or posting in the correct section you (or somebody else) deleted our posts for god knows what reasons. Even if they were deleted and you didn't see them your girlfriend Heeatz replied and it was on the thread so that's just straight ignorance from you.

And ignorance of the rules while your on the moderation team smh.

 

Lets just close this thread, and approve the most voted option already before another fight occurs.

 

Are there going to be any rules about bumping resume threads in the new section?

 

What rule did you link to exactly? I only removed, i believe, one post that was complete spam.
