HipHop or Metal?

I'll listen to both. I definitely prefer Hip Hop though, that's just who I am. I mostly listen to the non-mainstream stuff though. I can't stand all of the, "Bitches and hoes! Get money! Fuck you I'm rich!" Kinda stuff.. Pretty much all I'm listening to now is the Texas boys that are (and were.. RIP Pimp C & Screw) local. Z-Ro, Lil Keke, DJ Screw, Pimp C, Bun B etc. I also have been listening to a lot of Tyler's stuff. And I really like Immortal Technique because of his vocabulary, flow, and how he likes to talk about REAL stuff. Jedi Mind Tricks probably has the broadest vocabulary of any rap group I've ever heard. They are crazy good, and once again, talk about real shit.

 

I love both, have been recently leaning more towards Hip Hop.

Depends on the metal group tbh.

 

Metal for me is just screaming, Hip-Hop all the way.

 

Hip Hop, stuff like Kayne West, Jay Z, Immortal Technique, Eminem, Jadakiss, etc.

 

I'm a fan of both, 90's Hip hop was really good (2pac, biggie, Nas, etc.). 70's metal bands were also pretty good, as was much of the 90's

 

It really depends on My mood, and what i'm doing.
Gaming? generally whatever suits the mood more - angry? more metal. Relaxed? hip-hop.

When i'm working out, defiently a healthy mix, but Hip-hop/rap generally seems to be on top more than metal.. unless its one of my more favorite metal songs.

I like rock, hard to hate on music that actually takes skill and effort.

 

There are plenty of very talented Hip Hop artists, you've just got to look a bit harder past all the mainstream garbage.

 

I love both, but I rather 1990's hip hop.

I Lol'd when i read this i totally agree old school hip hop is so good.

I only have like 10 rap/hip hop tracks on my ipod. I cannot really understand what's so good in these genres and why so many people listen to it; however I do enjoy bright conversations about it with my rap-fan friends. Maybe some day I'll change my views on it.

Not a big fan of metal either, albeit I do prefer it over hip hop.
