High School Sports Discussion

What sports did you guys play in highschool/currently play? The sports at my school are ridiculously competitive, and I was lucky to make JV basketball. This probably has some fact to do with our team won state championship, but I figure sports at all schools are competitive. I also go to one of the best lacrosse schools in the country.

Fresh/Soph year I was on the JV soccer team, Junior year on the varsity volleyball, and will again be on the varsity volleyball team this year.

What do you mean only a couple of games against varsity...?

 

Well, it's technically not a sport where we play against other schools. It's just a little school event that we do a few times in the year in pep rallies.

 

Why is it that so many other places besides Virginia have boys volleyball. I went to Arizona and every guy played there so whats the catch?

 

Volleyball is a fun sport if you're playing with the right people that know how to play. And no, we don't wear short shorts while playing. Some states (such as California), take it pretty seriously. You should try it sometime.

 

Never played a highschool sport. I'm going to be a senior and don't plan to this year either. Instead I ride my horse as a sport. Sports are mandatory and I'm supposed to do one team sport a year but I get out of it because if I did I couldn't ride my horse and wouldn't be able to do anything with him ever. Cuz he'd kill me if I just rode on weekends. And I like that I don't have to do a team sport because I'd hate it, cuz I hate the people at my school.

 

Basketball Varsity (2 years).
Volleyball Varsity (3 years).

Junior right now. I'm getting a full ride for V-ball most likely.

 

I play varsity football.
I played basketball my freshman year.
I play varsity Lacrosse. I should be competing for a starting spot on attack, I know the spot won't just be handed too me.

I'm currently a Junior.

Guard/Small Forward for Basketball.

Outside for volleyball.

Varsity Wrestling
Weightlifting (Quit for BBing)
Spring Football (Don't play fall ball, it falls into wrestling.)
I ran track my freshman year, but I hated it.

 

My neighbor tried getting me to do wrestling, sometimes I go to open mat with some of my friends and mess around

 

Shit's a good sport. Most people consider it "gay" but I think it's the best damn sport out there. In football it feels great as hell to chuck someone, but in wrestling I get to fucking put them in horrible pain

 

Played loads of basketball. Haven't played in around 3 years now though. Was fun and I think I should play a little bit more often (non-professionally).
