    High Pardon Denies

Right, before you say, I know in Finn's sticky it says a staff member can deny on behalf of the staff.

But.. I'm wondering how this is fair? The new high pardon process was developed to overcome one staff members feelings, correct? So how can a staff member deny a pardon when its meant to be a collective decision? Kind of defeats the point In My Opinion.

I'll use this pardon for an example, I do not know him, never spoke to him or whatever, but as you can see, two staff members have said they would be ok with the vote, and a staff member has posted it for him, so in my books that would be three votes, or if not two.

The pardon was only opened today - http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=985498 - so it hasn't passed the 5/7 days. So the chance of it being taken to voting would of probably been high, so why did Finn deny it when its obviously not the whole view of the staff, including another administrator?

By all means tell me to shut it, but still..

This is sythe site and his staff members don't really have to be fair to me or you. It's the way it's done.

I've denied that particular user because I'm the one that has dealt with his troublemaking in the past and therefore am informed to make a decision as I see fit.

There's a point here that the Sythe staff are having problems proving. High Pardons are not meant to be easy to obtain by any chance. It's a privilege to be even given the chance to appeal for one. You need to be an incredibly exceptional member or I guess really really lucky to obtain one.

The point is, a lot of members are I guess complaining about this system (Not exactly you, more others.) And this will only frustrate the staff because it is a privilege, and I don't want them to take it away because everyone is complaining about it.

We give them out very sparingly. As said in another thread, anything below a 97% denial rate and we are doing it wrong. They weren't made to bring everyone back, only those worthy of a 2nd chance.
