I am new to this and have been getting advice from a few people who have told me this is the best way to take my next steps with the issues I am currently tackling.

So as of Sunday March 20th I was selling Osrs gp, 1.8b to be exact. The buyer that had messaged me was very interested in taking the whole amount of 1.8b as a purchase. So we discussed on how each other wanted to do the trade and he felt a middle man would be the safest way which I was okay with.

So the buyer found the Middle man Kayne who is more than amazing, very pleased with Kayne.

We had several issues sending money due to the buyer being in the united states and myself canada. Most of the buyers buying programs weren't usable in canada. So then the buyer recommend paypal. Keep in mind I really am new to this and had no idea on anything to due with money transactions.

But I agreed to it as when I looked into paypal it was usable between both of us. So we continued with the purchase. First step we took was I met Kayne and gave him the amount being bought (1.8b 07)

Next step we took was buyer sending me money. Which happened quickly (within 5 minutes to hit my paypal)

Now this is where things get weird.

The balance that was agreed upon was in my paypal but paypal flagged the money as money laundering and put a 72 hour hold on it. So I went into the discord conversation between myself, Buyer and Kayne and explained my feelings towards this. And asked if they would be okay with Kayne holding the gold till I would be allowed to deposit it into my person bank account. Both parties agreed and Kayne held the gold. Was late in the day by this time so we all went our ways for the evening as it was being held for 72 hours. Upon myself waking up I had an email from Paypal saying that the buyer had put in a dispute.

Dispute reading: Accidently sent this to the wrong person would like to get a refund please meant to send it to my friend in Europe. this guy is one of the sellingers in canada and i accidently didnt check

So now things are sketchy in my mind. Then next thing I know he tries cancelling the dispute for what ever reason and messages me and says ill just let the gold come and resell fast because i need irl money to pay for his sisters legal lawyer fee's. (in my mind he didnt even message to ask me to cancel or refund him he just went ahead and disputed the money with no knowledge to me or the middle man. So after I saw all this, I went to researching again and saw paypal offered a 180 day dispute/refund after the transaction was made which now made me rethink the whole trade as he already disputed the money with a non legit reason making me look bad to paypal as well as not discussing with myself or Kayne. (Keep in mind Kayne has been locked into this for 2 days now) *Appreciate you Kayne*

So I had to make several messages then ending in a phone call to paypal to get them to unfreeze the money and ask them and tell them that I just wanna get the money back to the sender and end this ordeal.

As of march 21st the money has been refunded fully with screen shots of the ordeal. On my end it says the money is fully refunded. Paypal has verified that I do not have access to the money anymore.

The buyer is saying the money he has not received. With help of others on Scythe I have landed up with a few very legit gold buyers who are very ready to do this the right way. Had the few people helping me set me up on proper payment programs so this does not happen again.

But my thing is I would like someone in the position to make a call on further steps as Right now Kaye is holding my gp which is fine but i have screen shots to prove I refunded the money in full.. Plus I was not the one who disputed the money and made this into a big mess. So i feel like it is not my fault that paypal could be holding the money to verify it back to the buyer. I have done everything as told by the middle man from the start with communication. Which I am sure Kayne can verify.

I would like to have the gp released from this situation so Kayne can assist me in getting this transaction done and dealt with properly with the right buyer.
