Hey guys...

Hey guys, long time no see. But I'm back. I've gone through a lot over the past few months and I just needed a break from this place to deal with some school things and sutff. Then on top of this, my best friend John was taken from me. Some of you may have heard about it already idk. He was crossing a main road through downtown Raleigh on his skateboard when he went out infront of a car. the person didn't see him and hit him head on at 35 mph. It may not seem fast, but it was fast enough to pretty much kill him instantly. His heart was still beating until the ambulance got there but once he was being transported to the hospital, his heart stopped. They kept him on life support for two more days to keep his body going so they could donate his organs. He was taken off life support on November 5th. At the hospital when I went to see him for the last time, they barely cleaned him up. He was still hooked on life support with his head tissues visible through his nose and they covered almost his whole face with inches of putty. This was torture for me. To see someone who I just saw 3 days before that and did prank calls with him on skype all night, this was the worst. Not to mention he had gotten in a car wreck 2 weeks before and had 2 broken ribs and a broken pinky, so he was just going out to ride around on his board to get back into the groove of things. It has been over a month since he died and I don't feel an ounce better than I did the night it happend. His death had a major impact on everyone in the area. He had a memorial service here in Raleigh and then in Wilmington at a huge skateboard distribution center, they had a whole demo dedicated to him. Tony Hawk even showed up. Nicest guy ever. Urged me to skate on and skate for those who can't. I respect that guy...

So with that said, I guess I'll be making my return to Sythe. Wether or not I'm a mod, idk but I will be active. I guess I will mod if I'm offered the job. But for now the old Blizzind is back .

Welcome back buddy. I also know how you feel about losing a close one, a month ago, November 7th, a friend of mine (not as close as you were to John) was shot and killed from a gunshot wound to the head. Its a really hard part of life to go through when stuff like this happens, but just keep thinking, there in a better place now where nothing bad could happen to them. Thats cool there was a huge skate event though, that really shows how many people really care. Anyway, welcome back.

Hey welcome back Blizzind, I never met you, but I can relate to your situation.

About 2 years ago, my dad almost died in a car accident. It was 2 days before Christmas and he was just going a few miles into work. Another person without a license, driving a Chevy Silverado pickup truck was going 50 down the road and my dad was heading the other direction in a Ford Taurus stationwagon going 50. The girl in the truck lost control and slammed into my dad head on. It took the recue crew 3 hours to get him out of his car then he spent a month in the hospital, He broke his pelvis, knee, ruptured his spleen, cut open his face, broke ribs, lost teeth, and more. And I know how devastating this can be. Ruined my Christmas and his, as I had to watch him and visit him in the hospital, in the ICU, always fearing he might die. I knew I couldn't lose him, so he pulled through. I'm really sorry to hear about your friend.

But on a lighter note, welcome back.

 

I am very truly sorry to hear about your friend. Hearing this even made an impact on me and i dont know your friend. it just showed me to enjoy life as you have it and never take it for granted because the next day it may not be there. i have heard this many times before and it has not struck me to true until today.

Blizz!!! Omfg long time no see. Man Im very sorry about your friend. Through what you have told me it has upset me as well because i know what it is like to lose a friend. Its terrible.
