people saying dont drop the chaotics why not? Theres only 2 cases here

Case 1: the guy really quit RS and will never be coming back to this account, in which case go ahead and drop them anyways.

Case 2: the guy is a scammer and will recover the account soon. Drop chaotics anyways.

 

this. haha go ahead and drop the chaotics if you dont plan on playing on the account ever.

or perhaps you go transfer maybe a mil or two and just use the account to pk.

The guy is trying to scam you. if you can reset the recovery questions and set everything up to where you feel better about it not being recovered then maybe keep the chaotics and hope for the best but tbh it sounds like he more than likely has the account locked down in terms of recovering it in the future. your best bet would drop the chaotics and proceed to decimate the account in every way possible as suggested..... maybe im just a dick though

You could always try pking with the account and transfer any tradeable items you earn to your own account

 

Just drop all the chaotics because you know it will be recovered soon. Also, to all you people saying it would be a d-bag move, think about this. Either the guy gave it to him legitly, meaning it's rightfully his OR he gave it to him to scam him in which he has the right to in a way "scam" him back by dropping the chaotics. This actually happened to me like 2 weeks ago only the account only had full void, which I dropped.

I don't understand why people are saying not to drop the chaotics because it's "mean" or whatever. The guy is obviously trying to get you to put your rares on the account so he can recover it and get them, and is trying to build your trust by leaving the chaotics on the account.

Accounts that are just randomly given to people are almost always recovered. He's the one being a douche by trying to pull something like this, so I'd say drop his chaotics. He deserves it.

 

old scam method is old, just get the account banned by advertising, ik a few people who do this, and let the people play it for a few months, just to recover it back and keeping whatever that got.

 

dont drop it. i think you should just leave the account alone, he might have tried to take ur ip as well so might wanna change that

Just like everyone else said, scammers deserve to die and burn in hel- i mean if he scams then he deserves to have everything dropped/spent and then banned..

Im sure this has happened to everyone before, some random says they have had enough with the game and give you their account HOPING that you will work on it put money on it etc. don't do anything with the account IMO just drop his stuff.

 

Would just drop. I remember having someone do something like this to me years ago, had it about 3 days then it got recovered lol
