Help with setting up a vps

Purchased a vps - need help setting it up - will reward $$$5

Connecting to it, or actually setting it up?

Does it not have a remote desktop protocol pre-installed or something?

Well, I can suggest you this. Go to www.logicalnode.com and purchase a runescape vps (if that's what you're looking for) the owner (Jon) is the most amazing person I've met on here and is willing to help you through anything.

Yeah, I recommend Logicalnode.com as well. Jon, the owner, will help you with set up and any issues you run into with the service. Excellent customer service, so he should be a great resource for you.

Still can not get access to the desktop - I am going to use the suggested site - but I now have a windows vps I cant access.

Be sure you're connecting via the right IP. I have one currently, and the IP the site provided me with is not the actual IP you use to connect via a VNC viewer, it's a whole different IP for some reason. Also, PuTTy does not seem to connect to windows VPS, I'm not exactly sure why. Jon would be able to explain tho

 

Putty requires an SSH server to be installed on the VPS. Windows VPS' do not have an SSH server installed by default.
