    Help regarding transactions!

Hi guys, I just joined this forum yesterday because I was trying to sell my runescape account but I have no vouches atm.
So I have a few question regarding this:
    1) which way do you guys reckon is the safest to trade?
    2) what is an OMM? I have heard a few people mentioned it? is there any difference with just MM?
    3) sorry to say but I dont really trust this "vouches" as people could just create another account to write vouches =/

I was thinking of getting an admin or moderator as a third person who holds the account until the money is transferred but I have not seen any of them online yet.
I've sent them a queries regarding this in the "contact us" section but have yet to receive any replies.

any other input to make this transaction safer is much appreciated!

OMM is an Official Middle Man, which status is not quite easy to obtain. Those are highly trusted people on forums, usually they take some kind of fee for their time and effort. With selling accounts, I would recommend using one, especially since you and they buyer are most likely newcomers.

OMM holds the account, buyer sends you money, OMM gives the account to the buyer. OMM can do recovery test to make it safe for both sides.

Easiest way out is to find a serious buyer, then post in to some OMM's thread in the "Middle Manning" section.

    Answering your questions:

    1) The safest ways too trade are:

-The other party going first. (However in your situation I doubt this is possible).
-Using an OMM. (OMM's guarantee that the trade will go as according to plan I'll explain more in your second question).
-Using a free MM. Some free MM's are exceptionally trusted, and i suggest you use them if you don't want to pay an OMM's fees.

These are the 3 ways to lessen your chance of being scammed by probably 99%.

    2)

The only difference between an OMM and an MM is the fact that Official Middle Men are recognized by Sythe and verified to be 100% trustworthy going through an application process. An MM is in the process of going through such a process, and many trusted MM's fall short of the OMM mark. The only major difference is that MM's generally do their trades for free, where as OMM's charge a fee dependent on the sale.

    3)

People who usually make fake vouches are caught very easily. It is against Sythes rules to vouch for yourself, or anyone you know in real life without saying so. They are usually banned very very quickly. That being said a vouch is simply saying that both parties have successfully completed a trade.
A good gauge is not just the quantity of vouches, but the quality.
If someone has 5 vouches which amount to around $2,000 US traded they could be regarded as more trustworthy than someone with 50 vouches which amount to $200 US. Use vouches as a sort of guide, but also someones join date, post count and ranks such as donaters or mods are crucial into determining whether you find someone trustworthy enough.

    1. If you want to conduct a safe trade, look for the buyer that seems the most established both in the date joined/post count/number of customers he/she is getting. Vouches are usually reliable however read some of the vouches and see what they are for. Do you see a bunch for free skill services or do you see big transactions that involved alot of risk on the buyers part. Things like these should help you make your decision in if they are trustworthy or not.

    2. OMM's go through rigorous procedures to get their status so you should feel 100% confident in dealing with them. MM's are regular users that feel they are trusted enough to have other users use them instead of OMM's. OMM's have fees attached to their services while most MM's do not. Again, deciding whether an MM is trust worthy or not can be determined by the same way you determine a trust worthy seller/buyer in point 1.

    3. As Malakadang said, people who fake vouches are very easily caught and it should be obvious enough to see this. Just by clicking the little arrow beside the quoted name to see the original post made by that user. If most of them are from people with recent join dates with 1-5 posts. Then chances are it is a fake vouch.

If you have any questions feel free to PM me and I'll try to help out where I can!
