Help on my pure

Hey guys, ive been working on my pure, and hes now 40 attack 70 str 1 def 1 prayer 50 magic(no hp gained training) and 1 range. I want to get ghostly robes on him but the requirment to get them requires me to do a quest which gives me prayer. He is a member, so should i get my prayer to 31 or not as of now?

 

There is nothing wrong with prayer as a pure.

31 prayer can be very beneficial when fighting other people. If you really want those robes, prayer is necessary. Though, you could be at a disadvantage without that extra little-boost that prayer gives you.

 

But i have been told prayer ruins your pure?

 

The quest you have to do, Priest In Peril, will only get you to 11 pray.

Now if you want a pure to have a good outcome, prayer always helps.

Plus, to do Desert Treasure(DT), it would be rather difficult without Prayer, it would be difficult to do 1 or 2 of the required quests without prayer too.

So I'd suggest getting it, getting it high as well.

Either way you're going to get prayer, and would you rather jump a few combat levels now and still have a chance at owning or would you rather wait until you've got 80-90 str and you then jump a bunch of combat levels then?

It all depends on when you want to do it, but that also affects how soon you get your ghostly robes.

 

Get 31 prayer. It's very useful, and will up your max hit by 1-2. That small amount of damage might be the difference between a kill and a waste of food.

 

If you plan on F2P pking, then no. Prayer in F2P is never the answer.

 

Prayer does not ruin a pure.
If you like to pvp get 31 prayer so you can protect your items.
