Help Me Play Runescape

Hey everyone. My parents have recently put OpenDNS on our router, and one of the things they blocked was games. I have a Macintosh, (don't hate ) and Hotspot Shield (a vpn software) won't work on it. I do have a Windows partition and I can use Hotspot shield on that but I would rather use my Mac partition while playing Runescape.

Using RSBot to load it won't work either. If someone could please help I would greatly appreciate it.

Or, go take down the OpenDNS. Find out how to shut it off. One time my parents put software on my computer that only allowed me to play for an hour. So temporarily I made 5 accounts on the computer = 5 hours of gaming. Later I cracked the password.

 

well they have a password on the router, and OpenDNS runs through the router. It is not for an individual computer. Also if I were to take it down, they would realize it and get mad.

Proxies are all blocked pretty much, and they usually don't work with Runescape.

They do have java proxies, you could find one of those

 

Tell them to stop PMS'ing and let you play beloved RuneScape (I've actually said that to my parent's when they blocked it, and they finally gave in and let me play).

Other then that, the only way is going somewhere else with Wi-Fi. (Starbucks, Local coffee shops, ect).

 

Try to go on some tech forums. But I would say try to learn how to bypass thru the router. Can't you reset it somehow?

 

Anybody know any java proxies? They do unblock Runescape occasionally, but only on the weekends.

They think I have an addiction to it... lol... wait I kind of do

 

If I were to restart the router, which I have done, it keeps the old settings (the OpenDNS is saved into the settings). The only way would be to do a complete reset which would be obvious to them because they would realize that the password etc. are gone. Then they would get me in trouble and hire somebody to put it back onto the router.

The thing seems safe, but from what I understand I need a computer that is not behind a firewall, and all of the computers are behind one so it doesn't work.

 

Sorry, I forgot about the firewall thing, your parent's would probably get more mad from a virus infested computer then from you playing runescape.

 

lol, no problem, its ok. as of now, ive been loading runescape at school (the vpn software works there) then as long as the login screen is already loaded i can play at home

 

bleh, i had that on mine for a while, never got around untill we got a new comp.
