i just dont understand these kind..

-1>x there is a _ under the >


-1.8<x there is a _ under the <

6.5<x


so everytime i see the line under those <> i will have to shade in the circle right?

 

yes. you are right
oh and if something says '28<x', it's helpful to switch it around, and say 'x>28', because that is much easier to understand.

EDIT: Yes, everytime a line is under the '<', you shade in the circle.

 

ok one more thing man it says on these other problems write an inequality that describes the graph shown if it shows a number line with the line graphed and the circle is shaded do i still have to add the line _ under these <> when giving an inequality like you see the ones when you open that website with the worksheet 7th and eight one has shaded circle

for first one i got x>-2 with a line under the > is that correct?

and x>5 with a line under it




one more thing how do you graph x<0 with a line under the <

Alright, graphing with '0' is the same as any other graph.
