Help, I need to buy a laptop.

I need to buy a laptop in place of my desktop computer, i'd like the specs to be nice. I don't expect any laptop to compete with my current specs, but i'd like to spend about $1,000.00

My current specs are i7 4790k, GTX 970 4G, 16gb Corsair Pro Ram.

I need it for mobility, id also still like to be able to do some light gaming, runescape/steam games.

I was originally going to get a macbook pro and then realize how over priced and overrated they are.

 

I have the Lenovo Y50. 16gb Ram, Intel 4700 i7, Nvidia GTX860m, UHD Screen, 256gb SSD. Similar to your specs. No complaints.
Counter strike at almost 300fps and I can have quite a number of bots running at once.

I had a y510p (previous model) for about two years before i built my PC and got rid of it and absolutely loved it. For the price, it's very very difficult to beat the specs in a laptop.

One of the most popular laptops atm. They also have a 13in version but not the dedicated graphics card. I just got one and its awesome

 

i added you on skype to ask a few questions, im not sure if an i3 for 1k is worth it or not, i was looking into an aspire v7

 

I would never spend $1000 for an i3, AND DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON ACER COMPUTERS, I've had 2 Acer laptops in the past and they didn't last very long. I've had an Asus now for nearly 2 years and still running good, I'm actually surprised I haven't killed it yet as it's turned on 24/7 and been for the past 2 years.

^^ Would recommend even though it's a dual core and not quad, can still be boosted to 3.1 GHZ. I can play Runescape on full screen + HD detailing without any lags. For the price I'd say its worth the money.

Asus is always a solid buy, but expect to spend 1200-1500 for a system comparable to your PC.

 

I've got the Y40 and it's reasonable. Lenovo is definitely worth a look, but just watch out for the bloatware. I'd recommend doing an absolutely clean install of Windows before even touching the computer if you go with Lenovo. Just recently had to send my Y40 out to the shop to get the battery fixed because their bloatware power manager fried it.

Other good brands to look at would be ASUS and Dell, but Lenovo will get you the most bang for your buck.

 

I don't need something to keep up with my current specs, i need something portable for about $1000, that will play runescape and or rocket league with no issues =p

You can literally play runescape on anything. Runescape isn't a game that uses a lot. Aslong as it's 2$ from the market, it will run Rs.
