Help me find a better laptop? (Tipping 1m)

Hey bros,

I recently started playing Runescape again and I got tired of sharing our home computer so I bought a laptop (linked down below). This lap top is not running Old School Runescape that good and is pretty slow in general. Amazon said I can return it so I will basically have $230 to add towards a new laptop. Does anyone here have any suggestions for a good and affordable laptop? I would also like to be able to comfortably run a bot or two as well as playing Old School Runescape normally. If someone can lead me to a decent laptop that would meet my needs I will tip them 1m for their efforts. Thanks guys!

Currently I use the Dell XPS 15 9560 and it's upgraded so in total it was $1750 USD. It works very well. I also use the MacBook Air - Technical Specifications w/Upgraded CPU and Storage. As well as a custom built desktop.

For something a bit cheaper on the laptop side I would suggest the base model for $999.

I wouldn't suggest buying anything that has any special 2-1 (Laptop-Tablet) or any Touch Screen option. These features are more for lifestyle users than intense users.

If you're looking for something for more than runescape like more intensive games (CS:GO, etc) You could consider building your own Desktop, it's price conscious and you can build it to your expectations and desires.

 

You're on a whole other level, I'm a simple man looking for a simple, yet functional, laptop to play Old School Runescape on and occasionally bot.

And how would you say that laptop is better than one I first posted? Will it be faster or something?

 

no, both are the same for rs, second one if u wanna bot occasionally/moderately. Dunno how the first laptop you got sucked but intel is shit and is sold/used by simple minded people, should go for amd processors I learned the hard way.

Don't install a lot of bloatware on it though.

Running bots on laptop kills it ... I suggest you use VPS it is cost you like 20$ a month but it saves your laptop ...

If you are going to bot you might as well just buy a small desktop setup.

 

Is a laptop absolutely necessary? You can get much more value from a desktop especially if you buy used parts. If you aren't comfortable building something yourself, you can look at a local computer place and they will typically have used i3 or i5 builds for under $300.

 

There are refurbished i5's on Amazon for ~$200.

 

naw I tried tho, they suck unless ur only gonna play rs. They heat up and will be at 70 degrees while playing rs which is just stupid.
