Help? I would really appreciate it.

So i did a account swap, And i had the account for like 3 days. Well today i go to see if my bot was still running and it wasnt, so i tried to relog in only to find out the password was changed. Then i re-entered info still wrong, so i go to change it only to find out the person i swaped with changed it back to their email ( and i know its them who changed it because its back to the email the account user is under i checked).

Now what really grinds my gears is the fact the account had 18m on it. Now most of you are like get over it its not that much. But see the thing is that is a lot for me. Ive never had over 10m until yesterday. And im pretty damn sure that the person i swapped with was watching my thread of when i sold my account knowing that i only have 2 accounts and one of them is being sold, because the account was taken back with 6 hours of me selling the 95 rc skiller i had.

So in a sum up. I lost all the GP (most i ever had by about x2), a nice mining skiller (one i swapped him for), The 99 magic 10 hp skiller (recieved from swap). And i was left with NOTHING AT ALL.

But now that you know the story and what happened my question to you guys is how do i get this guy back? Ive gave him a PM telling him to message me back within 24 hours or i will get him banned on the fourms, to try and clear up anything that happened that shouldn't have (ex. maybe he has multiple 99 magic skillers and he thought he still had this one and gave me another).But i doubt that will happen so, I simply want to get the skiller i gave him, the account i received and the GP on the account i had and whatever he put on the skiller wiped. My question is there an email address i can contact JaGeX and talk to them about how these accounts are RWT? And before anyone flames at me for doing this i want you to think about this. Someone takes everything you have, and there's no way you can get it back, would you rather let the person have it and potential use theses accounts to do the same to other people OR get the whole mess cleaned and basically screw over the person who screwed you? ( i wont mention this site or anyone's username or nothing like that, ill say its was someone from school or something.)

I just dont know what to do, ive been here for almost a year and never have been close to being scammed. And its depressing to see all your work you put into a game just disappear, and im feeling butthurt about it.

 

If the account you swapped him for is originally yours you can still recover it no problem.

However you can't get the account back that he sold you, 90% of the time when you buy another users account even if they have provided you with the correct details Jagex matches it with the IP you're recovering it under and the IP it was created under.

Linking the threads of the accounts and the confirmation of being swapped, MSN/Skype, etc, chat logs (not text because that is easily edited and will not be accepted).

You can possibly try to threaten him, you can lock his account by sending an email to [email protected] or making another account and posting on forums stating someone has hijacked your account. Keep telling him you will lock it if he doesn't give whats owed to you.

 

Alright well i cant get my skiller back, his was the first email it was registered to it never had recoveries and im not the original owner of it, not to mention i barley played on the account. I don't want my account back i just want the gp on the account tbh. and when i send an email to them what do i say? i know the registered email account on it. Do i say that it got hacked? and someone else changed the password?

 

Yes, emailing Jagex is best to be honest. They've heard it all so just tell your story, minus the "i swapped accounts" part.

I got one more question, how long does it take to get the account locked and how long does it stay locked? also i got an instant message back but it doesnt really say anything useful.

 

When I got hacked back in the day it took around a few hours to lock the account and a day or two for them to un-lock it. If you have your email registered to it it's near instant. If you have to go through the process of emailing jagex, etc then it'll take 3 days total I'd estimate.

 

Lock requests usually process within a few hours, they may or may not reply confirming the status of the account you have to just assume.
