Mine around 1000 coal from the mining guild in falador, then goto ge and buy 500 iron ore, make 500 steel bars & sell em for around 600 or so each in the ge.

 

once you get your wc lvl up it will be easy to cut yews, at 98, i get a load in 5-7 minutes with a rune ax

 

Yeah, but 98 woodcutting takes a helluva long time. I'm looking for something I can make profit off of everyday. Ever see the guides that are all like "Made 50k - 500k a day!" Yeah, I'd be fine with 50k a day, lol. <_<; *Pathetic*

But cutting yews is best option. I made 1 mill in 1 week cutting yews
On for 1 hour - 2 hours a day

 

I can't fish lobbs for 24 hours. >_<

I'll be honest with you, your best chance of owning a santa would be to buy members.

One of the best methods in P2P is to hunt "Red Chinchompa's", which would make you around 40m from levels 63 - 99.

You shouldn't regret buying members (If you're able to).

The only way I know to make money in F2P, is to cut yews, which I have seen recommended numerous times.

Cutting at the Yew tree's east of the Grand Exchange while merchanting with the Grand exchange is the best money you can make ftp.

As to what to merch, there is no item that guarantee's profit, you have to work it out.
God armor is always good to merch =]
