Help buying a laptop for gf $500 limit

Hi, so my gf wants a laptop she's thinking going to best buy or wal mart so she can do insurance on it as well.
Shes will mainly use it for internet browsing, pictures, downloading music, storage, youtube, fb, multitasking,
Figured I'd ask the pros of sythe for help only game she will play sims cause she's lame lol thanks guys for responses and opinions!


She likes to hoard pictures
Need help what specs to look for and brand thx

 

Screen size? Battery req? Does it need to be portable?

Any modern i3 or i5 will do just fine as for the CPU. Look around for the i3/i5-8xxx series if you want the best value for your buck.

 

BestBuy and Dell usually has deals on back to school sales right about now. Or other major electronic sites like ggregg and like amazon office depot/max etc...

 

Hp is pretty good, low cost.

 

Trust me lenovo is the best cheapest , fastest reliable laptops you can get

 

Lenovo is trash.
