Help/Advice anyone

I bought a pretty expensive account a couple of weeks ago. From a person who I think is pretty trusted. Last friday, account was locked by Jagex for 'suspicious activity' and needs to be unlocked.

The guy was nice enough to give me recovery questions when I changed the registered email address, so I have those, but nothing else. He also lives in Canada and Im in UK.

I think because I gave my details to a couple of people on forums to do things on the account for me, Jagex think it's been hacked or something and have locked it.

I've been trying to get in contact with the guy as he only gave me his skype and said he'd be on it fairly often but no luck. Can't add him on facebook because of privacy settings, but I've sent him an email with his paypal email address recently.

Any advice on what I should do?

Dont try and recover it yourself, probably more likely to not get it back, continue to contact this person I'd say

post a thread in report a scammer explaining the situation before you dispute on paypal (also ask for staff approval if you want to dispute). without better knowledge of things i'd say he should refund you

 

Is there any chance of recovery if I just use the questions he gave me, do you think?

 

Managed to get in contact with the account owner, got all the details but the recovery got denied. Contacted Jagex and they 'insisted' original account owner recover the account even thought I said I moved to another country etc..

Should I get the account owner to recover it and hope it doesn't get locked again or what?

 

Yes, get the owner to recover it for you as that would be the best way to go from here.

 

Don't try to unlock it yourself, let him do it.
