Hey WoWnerds. I'm gonna make a prot paladin and get it all heirloomed out. As for heirlooms, what do? For shoulders, should I go for the heroism badge ones or should I get the stone keeper shard ones? Same with the weapon etc. also. Any input would be nice. Thanks sexies.

SKS Ones are PVP (Take note of the Resil).

I'd always go with the Badge Ones (Heroism).

Weapon, grab the 1h at the Badge vendor, Shields, just buy shit as you go.

PM me if you need help, Pallys, well i know my shit

I'd grab the shoulders from the badges and the and breastplate if you'd like. For a weapon I would take http://www.wowhead.com/item=48716 that. Pretty decent for a tank weapon. and if you're really determined get some trinkets. The Swift hand of justice and the discerning eye of the beast (I think thats it). That is what I would do.

Yes i do know a faster weapon is generally ideal for tanking but aggro isn't a problem and if you spec into reckoning which i did not it makes us for the speed lost a lil. Hope this helps Verts GL

Heroism badge heirlooms are always better than stone keeper shard ones. Even in pvp because the stone keeper heirlooms give such a small amount of resil that it doesn't make much of a difference so you're better off with the heroism heirlooms.

Bought the chest yesterday. Gonna get the shoulders today probably. I have pretty much all the useful gear I can get with triumphs on my priest so I'll just save to get the sword, shoulders and trinkets now. I'm looking forward to playing prot paladin because this is probably the only class I've not really played.

    Any tips for me?

Well in the beginning tanking is gonna suck til you get concentrate. After that just throw it down whenever you pull and you should hold aggro. When you get sanc/holy shield you can mix up your tanking rotation abit since you start getting mana back on every dodge block or parry.

Edit: Also run random dungeons and stack on defense rating it helps a ton even at low levels.

It honestly doesn't really matter which shoulders you get. I usually tend to get the wg ones because I'm too lazy to farm heroics and I have a bunch of extra shards.

If you are in a Guild for your main, perhaps you can ask some Paladins in the Guild for some advice. Additionally, you may want to ask Pen about Paladins, in-case he still plays or got the hang of it. I knew he played one in the past, because I tried training it for him, but that was quite a while ago (still sorry about that too).

I have a warrior and I presume it would be pretty much the same in terms of gear. Get the heroism shoulders/chest with the axe and your set mate.

You can tank as ret until about 30-40 since you get a passive cleave and will take more damage because your gimping yourself without using the block mechanic. But you will be holding threat better also on that note you will get a lot of BS from elitist.

Personally I'd stick with the 1 hander.
