Yes or No, and Why

Personally I say no since I've never had a case and all my phones seem to last, also cases make them too thick imo.

 

I have an iPhone and iphone is easy to breake so YES, I am wearing a case. But a nice one.

 

I've had my iPhone for about 4 monthes now, and yes i do use a case. Like Sotwnoz said, they are very easy to break (no BREAK, but crack if dropped..)

I have a very cool case though so i don't mind

100% yes, I've dropped this so many time and thankfully it hasn't broken because of my case.

 

For any phone...

cases really help, but if you don't like the bulkiness then get a SKIN. It's like a sticker designed to fit your phone basically.. it protects it from getting scratched aswell without the bulkiness.. I believe you can google the sites and they have them literally for every device. They have some sick ass designs and you can make your own.

 

Depends on the phone.

Majority of smartphones should have a case. At the very least a rubber skin.

I personally have an Incase on my 4S. Would have cracked numerous times along with possible water damage.

Plus, it's not that much bigger/thicker w/ the case. Personally I like it better because I felt as if the iPhone is easy to drop/slip out of your hand due to it's slim size and slick/oily material.

@Neo, what kind of phone do you have? Flip phones and *low technology/basic* phones are notorious for never breaking.

 

i haven't had a case on my iphone for months now and it hasn't broken. instead all i have is a thin layer that shows heat (like a mood ring) shits dope

 

I have a newer model 4g android its a bit on the heavier side but its still slim, I just never felt the need for a case I guess.

 

If I had an iPhone, yes. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't because it would annoy me.

 

Yes. About a week after I got my phone I dropped it and the screen shattered into a million little pieces. When I got the replacement, I put a phone case on, and have now had it for almost a year with still no physical damage.

 

I bought a Blackberry Bold 9700 3 years ago and never bought a case for it. It is a little bit scratched up along the sides but the thing still works like a charm. I've dropped it quite a few times too, right on the screen and the corner buttons. It is a sturdy little phone

 

I always use cases, I like the additional grip they provide.

 

Yeah I do. I'd rather have my phone be a bit thicker then have it shatter if I was to drop it.

 

iPhone, and yes I do have a case. However the purpose of the case can sometimes backfire. For example, before I had my current iPhone I was given my younger brother's hand-me-down iPhone. I put it in a case that was really horribly designed (by Belkin) and one day it fell out of my pocket. I didn't notice until a week later that the case had actually caused the power button to be jammed in...So in some cases a case (haha <-- see what I did there? ) is necessary however in some it may not be. It depends on the phone type and the user of the phone.

The day after I got my iphone 4, a guy bumped into me at 6 flags and then my phone dropped and shattered completely on the floor. I bought a new one the next day, along with a case....

But of course, after a few months, I thought the case wouldn't be necessary...after a week this happened


Now it's a neccesity for me to use my case Otherwise my hand would touch the broken glass. Thankfully, the camera and flash still works. I can't wait until the next iphone comes out so I can upgrade... (I don't think there is reason enough to go from 4-->4s)


Tl;dr: 100% support for cases now.

 

I have a little tactic I use.. When I first get a phone, I get a case with it and use it all the time, that way, when I'm getting used to the shape and feel of the phone and dropping it all the time, it's protected.. Then after a while I get tired of it making my phone bigger and heavier so I take it off. By that time, I've already gotten used to the phone and almost never drop it.

 

On Apple products yes...anything else no...

 

i have iphone 4s, i use to case because it looks ugly. I will never have a case because it makes the phone look fat and ugly. I lucked out quite abit of times. I dropped my phone like 3 times and not a single scratch

 

I have a case on my iphone 4s.
It's a belkin case and it looks pretty sick imo.
But I'm thinking about getting a skin for my birthday.
I really don't like how all iphone cases make it look like a huge bulky phone.
The iphone is meant to look slim, not huge.
The case I have currently isn't very big, but has good protection.
