I think the mods of this forum have been enforcing this rule, first by putting a sticky saying that trading auth codes here is not allowed. Then, after watching more and more people disobeying that rule, they put a sticky in caps, so that the disobeying creeps would actually read that auth code trading is not allowed. Finally, as more and more people kept disobeying, sythe mods have been warning/Tbanning people who keep ignoring the stickies. In other words, slowly we're enforcing the rule more and more.

    Support - 100.1%.

I agree. Selling auth codes is practically scamming. I could easily sell the same code to 20 people, and who would know?

    Heftier punishment, +1.

They were my auth codes legit, and I didn't spam Sythe about it, nor anyone on MSN. Tons of kids sell them on other communication means rather than Sythe. I just think it clutters Sythe and makes it annoying as hell..

So I'm bumping this thread up, because it continues to happen.

I almost bought one, until one member explained to me why I shouldn't.
And I think this rule needs a larger punishment.
For new members, they seem a locked thread is a slap in the hand.
Whilst they need to know how big the punishment is to stop doing it.

I have an idea, what if you have like an automated message to everyone who makes a new account with the rules. No, not a LINK to the rules.. But the rules right there in your face, so you can't be like "Sorry I didn't read the rules."

    You're stupid.

    Why so harsh?

I understand why they aren't allowed to be sold, but punishing people more for not reading the stickies isn't going to make everybody else read the stickies more. The rule is fine as it is. No support.

Everyone is required to read the rules when they register. That is why they agree to the terms and conditions and all of that first. If they chose not to, that is their own fault. It is up to the user on whether or not they will actually sit down and read the rules.

That being said, I still support some sort of alternate punishment for breaking this one. Perhaps an infraction for the first offence, but for a repeat offence, a temp ban would be nice.

    Agreed.

Lately the forums have been swamped with Leechers trading codes for accounts and real cash and such despite the consequences of trading them.

Its there fault for not reading the stickies any way dumb ass what aren't you getting here? and hes not stupid that is true. the poor little auth code could've been to china now. think. and the guy is now being harsh making a second offense after getting banned for the first one is called ignorance.

I say support I'm tired of seeing them especially when they say," I don't care if i get banned what ever" they should be banned for saying that.

    Why is that considered harsh?

    1st offence = 2+ week ban

    2nd = permban

Its perfect. Here I'll make it real simple for everyone. When you buy your auth codes your warned DIRECTLY against what sharing/selling them can do in the email or on the site.

You 100% know before you even open up Sythe.org that this isn't allowed.

I am tired of seeing it as well but just carry on reporting them when I see them.

Selling auth codes is about 95% as bad as scamming as far as I am concerned.
