Will intel atom run 07?

We'll this is the netbook I take when I go around so beside home, I use it so just wonder if it can run 07 and if smoothly

 

I used to run RuneScape on an old Netbook from 2008 or something.. I think it ran with 20 fps or something.

Unless you have a new Bay Trail Atom it's not going to be a smooth experience.

 

nope, won't be a very impressive experience at all. My ol netbook from around 2011 couldn't handle it worth a damn at lowest settings imaginable. I still love the netbook and use it to this day only when im in the field and don't wanna ruin my gaming rig, but it was never intended for more than the internet.

 

But will I still be able to train, ? 20 fps is meh but I prefer 30+

 

Which atom?

 

Put Linux on it, first and foremost. Windows hogs 90% of resources on those things and makes them virtually useless. I'd suggest getting the Xubuntu distribution as it is very user friendly and easy to install.

With Xubuntu you should be able to run it a lot better than on Windows.

 

I have an HP mini with 1gb ram (now had 2GB) and an atom. It can hardly (aka not) do anything on windows. It can hardly play videos on linux. It's awful. Don't buy one. If you have one install Linux and like XFCE (lightweight desktop).

 

Jesus it sucked on linux, then I'm going to probably say you won't want to bother. But hey what do I know, go to a computer shop and try it out yourself.

Edit: I would like to think you could of but after reading SuF post, I changed my mind.

 

If you really want to minimize the amount of resources used by the OS then crunchlinux or very minimalist ArchLinux are the two best options. DamnSmallLinux could also be an option.

If you really just want to play 07 on the go then you should consider either an ultrabook/small laptop or a Windows tablet, though I'm unsure about how good the hardware is right now on tablets. Personally I use my 13" laptop all the time, it's very small but very powerful.

 

I don't think you should have a problem. PCs from the stone age could run 07. Just don't expect to run other programs while playing. Just make sure it's a clean install.
