Head User Educator

Well, now that they are all asleep...

In retrospect to the recent event in the User Education Section, I have been thinking that there should be no Head User Educator for a while. Is one really needed, or does it just have to be overlooked from time to time? As seen from The Dark, he really didn't post that often in the User Education Section, and was hardly online. I would think that Sythe should have no HUE for quite some time, until it is called that one may be needed. Yes, Rawr Im Phat, R33l2r3al, you're great guys, but is there really a necessity of fighting for that Modship Rank, without even being certain of getting it?

It is also quite irksome that since The Dark has been demodded, both Rawr Im Phat and R33l2r3al have been picking up their activity in the User Education section considerably. I'm not saying that this is wrong, but can you justify exactly why you are trying to be so active, if not indeed trying to seize that HUE position of 'power'?

And for R33l2r3al, I know that you are naturally active in the User Education Section, as well as Rawr Im Phat, and rate / comment Guides quite regularly. I know you both want the position, and it's quite evident in this Thread, but don't you think it'd be better if you all just not think about the position at all, as if you did a week ago? In doing so, you may sit back and watch the events unfold before you, and maybe a HUE shall be indeed chosen.

Sorry if you hate me, but that is my 100% honest opinion reguarding this situation at hand.

As I've made clear to you already, my activity level has increased, not because of the position being available, but because I am on break from school. That became effective on Thursday and I have been on VERY often since then. It had nothing to do with the title.

Also, Rawr and I are not "fighting" for a title. If anything we are working together. As already stated by Finn, the HUE title is being revamped and I doubt that it will hold any considerable water in the staff. I am not in this for the rank, I'm in this for the UE. If you can't see that, then I'm sorry. If I was in this for the rank, I wouldn't be here to support Rawr, and him vice versa with me. We both have great ideas and I highly doubt that any of them would even be heard without such a title, as they have been suggested before, and ignored (by TD of course).

I'm not trying to disqualify your opinion, as it is still important (to me at least). I'm sorry that you feel this is all about a title. I would give up my User Rank right now if it would better the UE, and I'm not joking. I've put many hours into the UE and I don't base it on the opportunity to get a better rank. I doubt that Rawr would do that either. We both want what is best for the UE, and right now, that IS a new HUE, and an HUE that is going to be active.

Well said, I agree comepletely. We're not fighting for the rank at all, we've been working countless amount of times together, to brainstorm ideas that could improve the UE. All R33l and I want is to bring the UE back like the old days.

I agree that the HUE should only have the essentials needed to run UE (lock, close, and move threads). The power to infract is not a necessary function which the HUE should have. Yeah, you have been decently active and I do enjoy reading up on some of your guides. Perhaps we should return the voting system? Which I heard was pretty affective?

The applying and voting on to get into the UE? I hated that because too many morons got in. Then the UE became EDRAMA and I said fuck it. I never got to leave since I was demoded for IDK why.


But UE's voting on guides before they get put into the UE section is an idea I like.

Yeah I like that idea as well. I mean, it would have to be different than it was, as previously described to me. But, if the right people were invited we could begin a voting process as soon as there was about 7 members of the team. We could re-introduce voting and i'm sure these 7 invitees would do a fine job of who is voted in based on the application system.

Yes, as far as the voting system was concerned, Rawr and I have put a lot of time into brainstorming the legistics of a new, hopefully more effective system. We would like to give it a shot, as it could potentially bring the team and the section back to life.

Well, right now its disorganized and I think it needs a few hours and a good mod sorting through it and stuff. Kinda but not really... Some guides r great others suck.

E: Pictures if it could use them

The old guides that people were writing to get in were mainly total shit, that were semi good, but for a section that is supposed to seem smart, they were utter shit.

It does seem like you both want to help, and I think you guys as a team, no matter which gets HUE, (Even if neither of you do) you will do loads of good stuff. You have thought up the ideas, and now we just need to get them going.

On a side note, neither Rawr nor I asked for this thread. It was made voluntarily by an individual who wanted Rawr to be HUE. Supporters eventually came for us both and now we are here. We have only accepted support, nothing more.
