Has Attack Become More Vital?

Well, I've been gone for like, roughly 6 months. And just came back to buy a pure. But every single pure I run into, has a very high attack... Is that on purpose? Or have I been unlucky?

Have Defence been buffed? Or something? What did I miss? Is a very high attack a MUST now?

Yeah it was like that when I took my RS break aswell, but, except from the Weapon-benefits, should one get a higher attack? Are 50/60 attack outdated now?

Yeah just get 75 atk and use ags you will be powerful.

50 attack isn't around as much as 60 for claws/scim/dds ect but yeah there are a few 75 attack accounts around for godswords.

Not really but you don't see many 1 defence pures with whips.
It's usually 50 - maul, 60 - dragon or 75 - godswords.

Initiate/Zerkers and higher level PvP accounts mainly use whips.

Only other thing I can think of is the requirements for dungeoneering items. Chaotic maul is meant to be very good and requires 80 attack.

higher attack more loots and if you get 80 attack you can wield chaotic items and they are SO overpowered

Yeah, you can get 75 for godswords or 80 for chaotics like they all said, but also the vesta, statius, and that kind of armor / weapons require 78 att to use, and their specials are very powerful and lots of pures are getting their attack up now for the specials in the weapons.

Na, just weapons have gotten better and require higher attack than pures use to have back in the day.

Well you need attack the wield the better weapons you dont so sum1 with 99 str and 1 att very often wieldiing a iron scimitar...

No, you're wrong. Many pures have 70 attack for SS, which is basically 2-handed whip. It's an option.
