Hey guys, I'm currenty in Silver I, 10 wins ahead of losses.

Whenever I lose a game I lose 5-6LP but when I win I only gain 3 LP. (currently floating between 60-70 LP)

I understand that it's harder to climb in first divisions, but wouldn't my situation mean I have more losses than wins and a bad MMR? when I do not ?

I'm not a veteran in my league either so I should be gaining more for wins. Really confused about this.

What you're experiencing is called elo clamping, and it is completely deliberate, regardless of your MMR. It is a system designed to ensure that players who get promoted up a tier truly deserve to be there, as you can't be demoted below Division V of any tier (unless you are inactive for 28 days, in which case your status decays.)

Basically, just keep playing to win, and if you really deserve it you will eventually get out.

Thanks for the info, seems very annoying. As they expect you to win every game to climb, you can't always rely on your teams to do well. Many games I've been 12-2 and we've still lost because of other lanes feeding hard early.

On top of that I come across a lot of afkers/leavers that are in Gold V and say gg and afk after they die once. It's really a bloody hell.

This isn't extremely unusual at the 1st division of a tier. Wins over losses doesn't decide your MMR, I believe it is the same as the elo system where your first 50ish games really carry much more weight then any games after that point. How would you say you did in your games starting off the season? If you keep getting a above 50% win ratio your MMR will eventually raise and you will see much nicer LP gains.

By 50 games played I believe I had a 62% win ratio, always stayed ahead.

Do you play on NA? I am in s2 atm was in s1 and experienced the same thing.
