Okay, I just got a report moved to SL because it would "harm the users sales". Because in it, he openly admits to treating personal information terribly and possibly having security holes because he hires a shitty developer.

See the part that says "Openly Admits" Pretty sure I read it just fine 'buddy'

The possibility of him having security holes is enough, some people don't want all their personal information all over the World Wide Web because some guy let an amateur design his "security system"


He should be temp banned until he can prove he can protect our information, or at least not be aloud to make sales from his website until he can prove it. Either way... what I find funny is the ones that think he shouldn't be banned, wouldn't be on his side had it been their information that was at stake or under the risk of being stolen. Lol, funny thing is I agree with you saying each system has flaws, just like any site is hackable, any account can be stolen if the hacker is good enough.

Now, a hacker steals your info from Skype and scams your buyers (you get left responsible with a temp ban and must pay the victims back before getting unbanned)

So, a hacker steals your info from your website and scams your buyers (YOU SHOULD GET LEFT RESPONSIBLE WITH A TEMP BAN AND MUST PAY THE VICTIMS BACK BEFORE GETTING UNBANNED)

Do you see what I am getting at here? Sure, nobodys info has been taken yet as far as we know, but for Sythe to allow someone to continue selling gold when he is a threat to his own customers is outrageous

But to get back on topic, the point of this thread was to make sure that kind of info is PUBLIC, because it should be. His customers have a right to know that he openly admitted to it, but instead it was hidden from all but staff because he is such a good little helper here at Sythe that they don't want to ruin his reputation and cost him sales. But, had it been a regular member, non donor, with less reputation, measures like this would not have been taken

We ARE required to tell people lol. If anything of ours is at risk like our accounts, MSN, Skype, we have to report it, and 9/10 people will be temp banned until we show proof we have taken back control of those said accounts or proof that the account are secure again, along with proof we repaid any victims that may have been scammed while your account was hacked.

So yes, we are required to report these things. So yes, it is fair that he should let others know.

You do realize his website keeps nothing of value? I wouldn't be surprised if he saves any of the information at all. You have no proof at all until his db is hacked which yet to happen, so your argument his information is not kept safe hasn't been proven, its only been implied.

It's about making him let his customers know that his system is shit. Do I think he should be banned if he isn't confident in his own system? Yes, because putting that many people at risk is dangerous. But, I wont shed a tear if he isn't banned. AGAIN, this is NOT the topic at hand, the WHOLE point of this thread being made by whoever posted it, I can't even remember anymore, was to dispute the fact that hiding information like this from his customers is wrong, when I've seen mods go as far as making people who have lost control on Skype account contact all their current buyers and tell them, and even put it in their sigs.

So, why do those people lose sales, but this guy doesn't. Before you answer that let me say this one more time, he ADMITTED to having poor security. I don't care if the guy gets banned or not, just as long as he has to let his customers know that he has a shit system.

He has no control of adding and removing the coding dial did for him, not over the information, like I said earlier you really need to re-read the information before you come here making assumptions about someone's security of personal information.

Losing control of skype is different than having a website which isn't secure to the maximum potential. Please stop making comparisons which make no sense here. All similar situations have been treated the same if I reported Grave's website for security flaws it would be moved to staff lounge because I don't have solid proof of it having security flaws and I could be solely doing it to harm his reputation. Dial is mad about not being paid at this point he wants to tarnish his reputation which is quite obvious from the chats.

You seem to be adamant on R2p admitting to having security flaws so I'd love to see where he actually said it. The only thing he admitted to is his site never being hacked in 2+ years. Please show me where he openly admits to having security flaws.

Also to that part about people's sales being damaged from hacked skypes, you do realize those are requested by the person who was hacked right? If they don't notify the skype is hacked they could be held responsible for repaying the scammed person. Like I said above stop making assumptions before actually reading up on the available information.

You guys act like I had some conspiracy to get a free website design from Dialatic. I never asked Dialatic to make me a website design. He did so without my request, and then pestered me for days to use it. I tried ignoring him, but because he consistently kept nudging/messaging me about it, I said I'd ask my developer to see if he could fit the design into our new website we are launching.

That page (which I had no problem taking down, I just couldn't reach my developer quickly because of restraints in China, where I was on vacation while this all transpired) was my developer showing me an example of how it would look if we used Dialatic's design. It was basically my developer showcasing Dialatic's product to me. This was done so that I could make a decision on whether or not we could find some use for his work. It was a favour to him. It provided me no benefit whatsoever. It's not like anyone was being directed to that website.

However, once Mike (Dialatic) realized that I wasn't very impressed with it, he started being a bitch. He posted all over the forums calling me a scammer, etc. simply because I did not want to buy his product. It was ridiculous. It would be like a dealership trying to ruin your credit for not buying a car after taking it for a test drive. I never committed to buying that design. Even Mike admitted he spent about 20 minutes making it. It amounted to a few gray boxes.

Mike exemplified his immaturity and lack of professionalism throughout the process. In business, we are judged not for how we deal with situations which go smoothly, but how we deal with situations which do not. When Mike noticed the deal wasn't going through, he reacted by trying to sabotage my business and reputation. My reputation was built on 6 years of doing business on this website, and I'll be damned if I'll let some kid who tries to peddle a shitty website template onto me try to push me around here. I've put in too many hours, carefully handled way too many trades here for that to happen. If he wants to challenge my reputation, I'll tell it like it is.

Deals with Mike should be avoided. He has no focus on projects, he constantly changes his mind on everything, and gets nothing accomplished. My time invested with him has always been wasted. He lacks the basic maturity required to do business. He is a child in a teenager's body. Avoid.
