EoC = rs is trashed for good

i just came back from a 456 day quit with no ties to the game.

runescape sucks dick now... graphics are garbadge..if i wanted these i would play WoW. And eoc really? gf zerks, and pures say good game, this is a main game now..

as soon as this hits , i am finished for good, and will only buy/sell rsgp and game over

If I'm not mistaken I believe the game began in 2001, but yeah a lot of people aren't exactly excited about the update. We'll see what it brings.

 

As soon as Mod Mmg became CEO he started killing the game slowly and painfully. I don't agree with most of the updates such as SoF and EoC.

 

There was a pre beta that extended before 1998.

This update is productive and will invoke more people, it's not meant to please people who are here to afk a game.

 

Jagex always comes up with some stupid idea to attempt to grab more player base from that idea. Then a few years later, they remove the update and add another stupid one.

It's their cycle.

No? In 1998 the 'project' was started by Andrew himself. He solely made the game DeviousMUD.

1999 was when his brothers joined the project, and RuneScape classic was released in 2001.

pures are not dead the only pures who will need to adapt are higher lvl pures and im pretty sure we had the same gfx a year ago as we do now so don't really know what your talking about there. also the whole thing about wow get over it, rs became like wow when rs2 came out plain and simple. if anything the eoc should make rs2 better and will straighten up the combat triangle.

 

i played classic for one, as well as who cares about new people? they could have a steady client base if they stopped screwing up the game, as well as more members would be attracted, but they are just renewing their sources, thats a set up for hell. i wont stay for it, idk what sof is.. but it prob sucks too.

and runescape started in 1999 for those of you that say 01.

everything your saying is total b.s eoc is crap i am a high level pure, as so are many. the update is pointless and trash, so is wow...

rs2 came out and was nothing like wow. it slowly started devloping into it though. and it became garbage.

 

wrong rs was created in 01 very very late 00 [november 17th I believe was when the beta for runescape [mmo] came out] before this it was just a crappy 1 player game caleld devious mud.

Things change if you're a high level pure you get rocked by mains anyways so you might as well lvl up more. and being a zerker your not a high level pure.

Also please tell me how the switch from rsc to rs2 was not the closest adaptation to wow of all rs updates.

the combat triangle is insanely screwed up currently magic\range hybrid >anything else unless obviously u get a 1 hit spec kill. and magic in the long run can out power anything when used properly. and range still rapes mellee's even though it's suppose to be the other way around. with this new update there are plenty of adaptations that rectify this situation. It seems you do not understand the eoc update and are raging because of that fact just as many did when rs2 first came out. Either way the game is shit and has been since andrew gower took his leave and will more than like continue to go down the shit hole.

I'm kind of excited for the update. I haven't played RS in about a year, there is a reason for that. Right now Runescape already sucks so if it gets worse then I won't play and if it gets better then I might.

 

I happen to love the EoC. Opinions v. opinions.

 

I have played runescape for a long time and I like the EoC as it might help bring back some community to Runescape.
If not then it gives me a reason to actually learn and play the game again.

 

I agree, i considered coming back recently.. Its been upwards of two years. Saw all these garbage updates and its just not even the same game..

 

the game has evolved into crap, but thats my opinion. like i said, i started playing in 2000... either way. im just stating the fact the the combat triangle has been the same for years and years, and slim people complain, its something that every combat style has learned to adjust to and make theirs work. meele can be very strong if you know how to deal a mage out, or a ranger, im not a zerker im a high level init pure, and i do not get raped actually, considering i brid a lot i usually out brid anything thats in my way.

if i meele i can do the same thing, but i know what im doing so its easy to be evasive to all types of situations, but after the update in 06 i maxed my main out and started pking pretty much. so my point is eoc is useless and runescape was ment to be a classic game, not WoW. hence the way it was computed and made. i have not played in 456 days, no.. the graphics were 100% different. they have changed a vast amount of shit.

You say the graphics are garbage yet they have been improving lately. The graphics are pretty good considering it is not a client game and is solely online. Pures and zerkers are not dead either, they can still do what they do most of the time anyways, and that is just fighting with pures and zerkers respectively. They will not have a disadvantage fighting against a character with the same statistics.

 

yes they will considering the armour effects....

aswell as the graphics were better the way they used to be. im not the only one that thinks so. more runescape players rather it the way it used to be then the way it is now.

How can you have a disadvantage fighting somebody with the same statistics? :\ and you obviously didn't play in 2000 mate.

 

I agree with Sycophant, deadn00b you obviously didn't read my post that well. If they have the same stats then they will have the same armour so armour health boosting is irrelevant. Also, the graphics were better the way they were, and majority of people think this?

That was painful to read honestly. Majority of people actually like the updated graphics despite a few occasional whinges. Your voice does not equal everyone elses.

 

Not everyone is going to like an update. Give it a chance i'm sure they are still going to change a lot of things
