After the not-so-recent attacks on PSN by Anonymous, and other subsequent attacks by Lulz Security, do you think their actions and the actions of other Hacker Groups justified? Why or why not?

I think hacking for personal gain/exploitation is wrong regardless.

Some people hack into the main servers of high end security places just for the thrill of it, and some hack to find the weaknesses and to help the company repair it.
Those kind of hacking are fine but I don't like hackers that do it for gain.

Yessir, i love what they are doing, its kind of like the story of Robin Hood in a way.
But Anonymous doesn't hack companies for no reason... Sony was trying to get people who jail broke their ps3 in trouble and they wanted to stop it.
And now They are working on hacking facebook because facebook is selling personal information.
    I couldn't be happier.

I love and hate them. I love it when they go after corrupt companies like Anonymous is apparently planning to do to Facebook on 11/5. I get really worried when they talk about hacking into government shit though, like the CIA/FBI. You never know what they may run into while doing that. There's just some things the public are not ready to see. I'm all for freedom of information as long as said information is not detrimental to society in any way.

Remember, remember, the fifth of November...

Hacking is best for small-time things, once they hack the big companies, the government will try to track them down as criminals.

#1. There is no legit proof that anonymous is going to attempt to hack Facebook.
#2. There is no legit proof that FaceBook is selling information.

Do you believe every video you see on YouTube?

I guess I should have mentioned hacker-hats in my OP. Prsonally, I support grey-hat the most. there's nothing wrong getting a bit of gain if you also fix the problem.

Major banks actually hire people to hack their systems to find bugs. My friend's dad does it, and it seems like a really cool job

    1. Its a sub group of Anonymous that's doing that Ops.
    2. Facebook uses youre info to put certain ads on your page and has been plenty of trails that shows FB sold/gave info away from their users.

They tweeted it, so yes there is proof. It's just a case of how many people are participating in it.
