GUNS are bad?

Not trying to "One up" you-

But I've lived in a country where this rule is actually in effect, it didn't change much. The crime rates remained the same, instead of robbing you at gunpoint, the robber would just use a machete. (Which I find more horrifying O.O)

 

dude... you have to be licensed to buy a gun, the gangsters and mob get them illegaly. heres how i get mine.

1. guy with license to own gun buys what i ask.
2. he drives to my house
3. i pay
4. i have fun

whala, beat the system.

 

It's impossible to just get rid of all guns.
And gangsters often carry gun illegally anyways.

 

The only good purpose for a gun is to protect from another gun (or knife, or other instrument of murder)
In this day and age, anyone determined to get a gun can get one.

What happens when a determined bad human pulls a gun on a good human with no gun? Good human dies. What if the good human also has a gun? Bad human backs off, maybe never even pulls a gun in the first place; good human lives.
More guns means less killing.

Guns DO kill people, but only when used by people who want to kill people.

 

so people kill people... thank you. a gun is a type of instrument, it is used for a purpose but can be used for other things. i could take a guitar and beat you over the head with it until you died but it was not the guitar that killed you, it was me, the person who commits it killed the other person, not the weapon or instrument.

I'm all for the right to own guns- but I fail to see how more guns can equate to less killings.. :/

 

Banning guns will make innocent, civillians more voulnerable, while criminals, wouldn't have to worry about his victim defending themselves.

Any one who says guns are evil is a moron. If anything, I think the laws are to tough.

 

*hem* banning guns from being supplied would stop quite a bit of illegal trading, then the authorities need to crack down on the illegal traders like customs do with immigrants.

No supplier = No illegal guns.

The person who has designed the gun, and uses it in order to inflict severe damage and or kill, is the 'bad' one.

 

Guns are not bad. Yet if there wasn't any, the world crime rate would fall dramatically, and people on the internet couldn't post on Sythe saying, "oyez im gunna pop tht mofo wit my 9 bcuz he took my pixels". Most of the people who use guns don't use them to harm others.

 

If the didn't made a gun, they would just kill each other with a sword, etc.
And I rather be killed by a shotwound, then by a sword. You really want to go back to the mid-ages? Fighting each other with their bare hands or with a sword?

Humans are bad, not guns... Guns have also saved alot of lifes.

 

I'd rather use a sword. Atleast you don't have to resort to Matrix tactics when attempting to dodge a sword, unlike a bullet.

 

Atleast using a sword takes some skill aswell any fool can shoot a gun at someone.

 

gus are not bad just the ppl who have them can use them good or bad. its up to the holder on what to do w/ it. you can kill a animal or a human its all up to the holder.

 

The human has control over the gun them being responsible or irresponsible makes the gun good or bad

 

I wish guns would not exist.
That way, if someone tried to rob you, you would fight. You would win some, and lose some, but you live to fight another day.

Using a gun on someone else takes away their chance at life..
In my opinion, it's wrong.
