I respect that they do this. I am a hunter I own guns and I'm fine. I believe that if your going to own one its fine if they do background checks and if you have mental health problems around this topic its best you don't own one. If your a felon or ex-con dam right your not going to hold one you lost your right thats your fault.

It is in the amendment to bear arms. I do believe you should be able to carry a registered gun if you would like but following the laws. Such as in a case or or locked, unloaded while driving there are allot of restrictions on it but if your in it for the right reason there is nothing stopping you.

 

Just because somebody has a mental health issue doesn't mean they are violent, or necessarily stupid.

 

Whats the difference if your going to ban one gun why not ban them all, they all do the same thing and have the same purpose...To kill

 

I think everyone having the right to bare arms in the first place is complete insanity. Guns don't protect people, they kill people. If no one had guns then there wouldn't be so many school shootings, husbands shooting there wives on rage, armed robbery and so on.

Why should everyone have the power to take someones life, when its against the law?

This is another great reason why id never live in america, here in australia when people get into a blue, they just end up with a bruised face and hand, in america your either stabed or shot.

 

Guns don't kill people... People kill people, even without guns there would still be killings.
The gov couldn't possibly take away knives and other objects capable of taking life.

 

You have the right to take somebody's life if it's in self-defense.

yes, but guns make killing people very easy. just think how many school shootings you get in america, some kid brings a gun and kills like 20 people before killing himself. now, if that kid didnt have a gun, he wouldnt go to school with a kitchen knife, trying to stab everyone. then stab himself to death.

and for self defence, you only have the right to kill if they are putting ur life in danger, which is mainly done by a gun, so if you take away the guns you wouldnt be in that position in the first place.

 

1). A gun is the best way to defend oneself.

2). Criminals will still probably get guns illegally.

3). You cannot blame all gun owners for the crimes of the few.

 

There is a difference between accidental deaths and deaths happening on purpose. It doesn't matter whether or not it was an accident - the important thing is that there was a death.

Accidental gun-related deaths + deliberate gun-related deaths > Accidental physician-related deaths + deliberate physician-related deaths.

There is also to take into account that doctors save more people than kill, which is not necessarily true with guns.

 

All of these deaths, while quite unfortunate, are simply the result of an individual's right to privacy.

great topic! I hunt a lot, own a ton of guns and plan on getting a license when I turn of age. I think it would be good to be able to carry any weapon, because if you see some one carrying around an Ak-47 would you go rob them? would you do anything in the shopping mall they are in? if something went crazy in a store and one of the "normal citizens" had a gun then they could protect and save numerous lifes.

 

Yes crime is bad enough with the guns gang members,robbers, etc use,
if all guns were legal crime would skyrocket to rates like no other. The death rate would increase immensely. I say the gun laws now should be even stricter.
