Guitarists. And Those Loser Basists!

So anyone here play guitar? Or bass, I guess. . .What's your set-up and what do you like to play?

I have an Aria STG-003 Red Electric Guitar with an AG10 Practice Amp, as well as an Asheville acoustic.

I like basically all forms of rock. Cept for emo. . .

 

I have an old Hondo bass I use for my current band, but I also have a Synyster Custom.

I've got an american strat, and I play through a line6 spider 2 2x12 with a boss ds-2 distortion pedal. Sometime this week I'm gonna get a humbucker or stacked single coil for the bridge of it.

 

I can't even name all the guitars i have...i have 16 =\
and 2 bases...

I play acoustic more than electric..i LOVE my ibanez/ovation roundback.

i have a few fender amps...a 73 fender strat...easily worth 15grand. couple motherboards, acoustic amps, mixers...all sortsa crap you could ever imagine..

but yeah.

I play a lespaul standard through a krankenstein.

 

I'm thinkin of buying a Les Paul for my next guitar. Do you like it insomnia? I also have an FD-4 Digital Multitracker made by Foster. I got it for $20 at a garage sale, and it's probably worth a few hundred. I'm buying a multi-effects pedal board once I figure out what I want. . .I know they're supposed to sound bad, but I just want to be able to mess with all the effects before I buy specific pedals.

 

Well I like my les paul but it is pretty limited in what you can do with it, they have amazing sustain and tones but they are a really heavy (weight) guitar. I also play an ibanez rg which is basically set up to be a vai without the hand hold thing and it is alot more universal.

Basically:

Killer tone and sustain: Les Paul
Shredding all 24 frets and cheezy divebombs: Ibanez etc.

 

I play on a piece of shit Samik strat. It plays fairly good though, although it doesn't stand up to a Fender, Gibson, etc.

 

Dude, I was looking into the RG series too, Insomnia. I love the low action on 'em. . .I dunno, I'll have to try some of them out when I go to look.

 

You shouldn't buy a guitar based on the action, any guitar can be setup with low action (unless it's REALLY a piece of shit).

 

Why do bassists suck?

 

I have a 1999 gibson sg custom black, its my baby And I also have Some shitty yamahas and etc..

 

I have an esp ltd b155 bass right now and a really crappy ibanez sw-30 practice amp will be upgrading that
