Guide to transferring usernames.

I can see some great success from this, but I find this way to risky nowadays, since there has been an increase of name snipers. Good guide nevertheless.

This doesn't work anymore, when you post on the forums/get reported Jagex just resets your name back to your previous one.

 

Finally I can transfer my mains name to my other account.

Lol did this and worked exactly right and didnt recieve a blackmark. I just went onto RS forums and said Somebody helped been hacked and had my username changed.

Offensive name is not safe anymore, i had a rare username, i made an offensive name and the next day i found out i had the screen, but suddenly my rare name was taken out of nowhere, while i didint even set a new name on the offensive screen at all..?

 

This method does not work anymore. Jagex will revert back your name if it is deemed offensive I've had a name being prepared for transfer, and the name was automatically changed back after 25 days or so. This wasn't even intended for the offensive name method, it was a regular old fashion 28 day transfer method. In this case, this guide is outdated and thanks to whomever that gravedug this as well.

 

Well known method but, risky. What if the change happens during the night when you're asleep? Lol.

 

That's why you don't fall asleep during the method. The change can happen in 5 minutes, 5 hours. Who knows? The forum emergency section is removed already. Read T V's name transferring sticky in Name Sales.

 

Oh...so, you want me to stay up for 24 hours MINIMUM just to xfer a pixelated name? I got better shit to do with my time...for all I know, it can take 72 hours....

 

Well, if you want to stick to the 28 day method, you can. If you fail the name transfer via offensive method, two things can happen: 1. Your name gets sniped by.. god knows who? 2.Your name will get reverted back so it turns into a 56 day name transfer.

There's no real way to counter a name sniper unless you use identical resources, which I won't go into detail.

It never was a safe method. As I stated in the OP, I had a friend snipe a name from me.

Just be observant, and don't tell anyone. I wouldn't advise doing it straight after purchasing a name either. Patience is a virtue.
