Guide To Proxies...

I thought I'd try out this guide, seeing as people in the UK (not only them, others too) often have great trouble connecting to sythe, so, heres the solution...

What is a proxy?
Well, when you connect to a website, your browser will send your 'IP' address, an IP address is a series of numbers which are used to identifiy your computer.
From this address, the host site can find out your:

1. City.
2. Country.
3. Your operating system.
4. Your browser type.

Now, we don't want that, do we?
To remain anonymous, we use a proxy, which is what you could call a 'middle man' It sends a false IP and all the other crap to the host site, whence, no one knows who you are. (It is possible to find out, some way or another, but no many people will go to the trouble.)

How can I get a proxy?

Step 1:
Go to this site: http://www.proxy-list.net/anonymous-proxy-lists.shtml

Step 2:
Chose a proxy, it does not have to be from your country.

Step 3:
For Firefox, goto:
Tools > Options > Find network connections > Settings...
Enter a proxy you chose:
Untick the circled thing.

Step 4:
Now, try load a page. If it doesnt work, try another one!
A good way to find a good one, goto this site:
http://www.checker.freeproxy.ru/checker/
Copy and paste ALL the proxies in, it will check them all!

If you try to steal from online shops like this , nice try . at the last page (https) it shows your REAL one anyway

yup , jagex invented ban , god invented proxy however jagex may suspect you account sharing if you switch them too fast

you should add a site that can give you a proxy list from school. Yours is blocked from the school computer im currently using.
