Guide to being Virus-free on Sythe

All many of you know there are many leechers that post trojans, malware, keyloggers on sythe to take advantage of others. Here are some tips in dealing with these people

1. Never click on a link that is too good to be true and is posted by leecher. Look at their join date and post count before you click on something. Wait for a mod or someone else to verify the link.

2. However, if you do click on any suspicious link and think you might have gotten a virus or keylogger. I recommend these programs to help clean it up. I have found that Norton and Mcfee are terrible anti-virus programs and never pick up anything useful. I found these two free ones that I have found to be amazing at picking up viruses and other crap that you might get from suspicious links and websites.

3. If anti-malwarebytes fails to run due to the virus, you may have to load it on to a flash drive and run it from there or you can run it by booting into safe mode then running it. This is the case that with a virus that I got called xp security 2010.

4. You can also manually remove the virus if your anti virus fails in which case you have to know by searching on google what its files and registry are.

I know this is common knowledge but it could help some people from losing their computer or their precious runescape accounts from keyloggers

No offence, but this isn't particularly helpful. The most basic knowledge of any skid could pass these steps.

1. You can click any link you want, as long as you don't download or accept a java applet/addon, you will be fine. Of course, there are some sites that will prevent you from closing etc... Things like nimp, but they don't do any lasting damage.

2. If you get a virus, go into Safe Mode without Networking and run a MalwareBytes scan.

3. If you do download a file, scan it with http://scanner.novirusthanks.org. But beware, it isn't hard to bypass any anti-virus. So make sure you also run it sandboxied and scan it with MalwareBytes.

4. If something doesn't open in sandboxie, it is because it has anti-sandboxie measures, and is therefore a virus.

5. For more advanced users, you may want to get .NET Reflector. This will allow you to decompile any .NET application and look at the source. People can stop you from doing this with obfuscators, but if they don't then you can check for any SMTP functions or add to start up etc...

I'm afraid I tend to agree with Hidden Dart, this is really easy for a virus to bypass .

 

Well, sorry to point it out, most people here dont spend 16 hours on their computer.... We have a life. Most people do not go such extremes when it comes to a link or suspicious links.

 

Get NOD32, and show me a VIRUS that can bypass it

 

Every ant-virus can be get passed, but sythe virus are usually made by some 15 year old nerd so they are rather simple and usually easy to detect.
