Guide section reform

I know I will. If I get denied, at least this win suggestion is passed and the section will once again be active and not full of dice game trash, and failed glitches and scam artists :3

 

Verification team needs a head to it.. There isn't one at all since Pen left.

I don't think we need more verifiers. Sengira and I basically have it down, but I still think (as mentioned before) that the section needs a head. Whether it be to initiate something like HGV (Head Guide Verifier) which would be similiar to HUE, or to simply have a Admin/Global over-see it.

If we do end up getting more verifiers, we surely don't need 10. I'd say 5, tops. When we originally started we only had 3 and it was fine at that rate. Currently we have two currently active verifiers (at least I believe so.)

Also, I only read OP, and did not read through thread. If I missed something, tell meh.

I think you are right. Once people start realizing they can't rip the same guides over and over (most recently the dice game guide) their will be a lot less guides being put out there to be verified.

I mean a new, original guide that is of usefulness to the point of being profitable comes along rarely these days.

 

I just had to send a not so nice PM actually because of a crap guide he verified, which technically by OGV standards, he is liable to pay back the 1b or so that people paid for the crappy guide he verified.

And in addition to more verifiers, there does need to be a head. No posts in OGV forum in almost a month. Its disorganized, inactive, and the guides section is a complete cesspool.

 

Are you talking about the dice game guide ? That should be reported as spam, not verified >.<

 

I am, however lets not point fingers or veer off topic so as to maintain the goal of improvement ; )

Anyway, for the guides, I think verifiers should be able to vote if something needs to be added to the DNS list , It would be a good addition to the section, if it's something debatable

the best part about it for me that a member like me who has been on the forum for 3 years can join the team /tbh I can't do good as a mod but i am pretty sure I would do great as a guide verifier

Eh, it's dumb he verified the guide, but don't think refunding a bil would be to good.. Should be changed (IMO.)

Ill look into getting something like this implemented. Given the support, and the fact that there is very little negative to be had from doing it, Ill try and pester some admins about it when I get back from spring break

The fact that you are a Global Moderator gives you that extra boost and forces people to give positive posts rather than negative. Tmoe is a prime example who has been incredibly negative to all threads explaining how no change is needed in the verified guides section.

But the truth is, yes we need a change. Although not everyone realizes it yet, the change needs to be done now and not tomorrow but now.

The guide section's been in a rut for ages, a week more wouldn't kill.

 

He's one of the two people that have verified most if not all of the verified threads up right now.

Now I'm not saying we don't need a change, but I'm pretty sure he knows what he's talking about it and has a perfectly good reason backing up his reasons why he believes that a change isn't necessary.

 

The problem is every time I challenged him, he could never give a reason. He's just a big black=white case scenario with no reasoning behind it.

 

I'm not incredibly negative to all threads, just to horrible suggestions. There may be a coincidence that nearly all of your suggestions may be horrible.. (In my view of course.)

All we need is change! Hope and change!

Let's stop playing the delusional game because you are clearly now a grandmaster at it. You're just like a puppet doing everything the controller says. Stop your foolish claims.

It is evident that you hate the idea of a change in the guides section, yet somehow - some odd reason - in this thread it seems to be a great idea to you! Once again, please explain your reasoning as to why this suggestion's key point, is any different to any of the other suggestions that you so dearly hated upon? That key point is, a complete change in the guides section.



In relation to this thread, this outburst is showing just how desperately we need to update this section.

 

I fail to understand what you just posted.. All of those threads I stated my views and answer?..

Contradicting saying I'm a master and then saying I'm a puppet being controlled by a master, nor am I making any claims? ..

I don't hate the idea of change, I have views on things that do need to be done and what don't. This thread doesn't involve a complete over hall such as completely re-arranging the guides section, or did I miss that part?

Also, if you have some more things aimed at "me" for discussing, feel free to send me a PM. There is no need to bicker on a thread.
