Hi Everyone,

My name is Noah; I am a Law School student attending the University of Minnesota's currently on my 6th week of my 1L year(1st year). I originally am from OSBot you can find my profile here http://osbot.org/forum/user/22753-noahthewisewolf/

I was a global mod on OSBot for five months, and before I became a global mod, I used to run an AIO service team called NoahTheSunKing's AIO services. After I resigned as a mod back at the end of April this year, I became a middle man on OSBot and have conducted trades with over 20 unique users with my largest trust being 150m 07gp back in July and later that same day I also held $220 on pay pal for someone during an account sale.

I can imagine some may be skeptical, whether or not I am the user I claim to be but fear not I will be posting a link to this thread on my OSBot account asking that users from OSBot, who are also on sythe can confirm my identity here. I will also be posting a link to that thread on OSBot here as proof. http://osbot.org/forum/topic/84377-...ady-on-there-can-you-post-on-my-intro-thread/

My main purpose for coming here now is to expand my up-and-coming 07gp shop. I need to restock right now, and I figure this may be a good forum to stop by and restock my 07gp.

My buying and selling threads can be found here

To commemorate my joining I am also going to be investing in a donor rank later tonight(either $5 or $25 depending on how quick I can make back the funds spent).

I am looking forward to becoming active on Sythe and look forward to doing business with you all =).

Regards, Noah

Curious, why would you hold PP during a middleman? That puts yourself at risk for a chargeback

I know... it was the first time I was doing a mm over pay pal and I just got overly excited(since just a few hours earlier I was trusted with 150m).

It worked out in the end and that was three months ago without any issues so if another three months goes by without issue, then the 180 days to charge back are up, and I don't have to worry. Nevertheless, it just goes to show how trustworthy I am, even if I really shouldn't have held money over paypal to prevent being a victim of charge back.

Hey man, I too am a law student (in NZ). Welcome to Sythe, any questions feel free to bounce them off me man.

2nd year law over here man. Our first year consists of 3 papers
1. Introduction to NZ Legal System - where we learn about the history of our legal system, how we adopted England's common law system etc.
2. Case Law - Introductory paper to case law (based on civil cases/torts) breach of cofidence and Rylands v Fletcher
3. Statute Law - Introductory paper as to how to interpret statutes an dfind ambiguity to resolving an issue.

2nd year is Crimes Act and Tort Law and Legal Research and Writing/Mooting.

How's it work there?

EDIT: There's no like button man!

Oh wow cool you're a year ahead of me.
Law School in America is also a 3 year program.

For the 1st year of Law School here all 1L students are divided into sections(my School has Sections A, B, C, D). You take all the same classes with students in your section that entire year. First semester is typically composed of five courses, which are Torts, Contracts, Civil Procedure, Constitutional Law Procedure,Constitutional Law and Legal Writing. The reason these five courses are given as the first courses is because they're very broad topics of Law that every lawyer should be knowledgeable about, as you know, and are essentially what the Bar Exam is all about(exam all lawyers must take to be approved to work in the state of their choice). My 2nd semester in the spring will have another more advanced legal writing class, and I think property Law(some other classes too, but this is all I am aware of for now)

The 2nd year I am not too sure of the specifics other then you now get to make your own class schedule and take classes that are more in line with your speciality in contrast to the general law classes the 1L students must take. I am probably going to specialize under various sections of business Law(so Corporate, Wills and estates,Patent/intellectual property etc.).

3rd year... I am just a blank slate I don't have much knowledge other than mostly a strong emphasis on getting ready to find a job and prepare to take the bar exam(if one wishes to practice as a lawyer which I and most of the other students do).

Oh wow no like button =(. That's kind of a bummer, I would have liked everyone's comments on this thread, but it's alright =).

Nice man. I am doing a conjoint degree, BCom and LLB so it takes 5 years for me. Our 3rd year is Contracts and public law and then property I think? not 100% sure! Good luck with your studies, seems as if they throw a lot on you for your first year.
